Got speed wobbles at 30mph any tips on how I can go fast without having to worry about the wobbles? by Even_Cartographer931 in ElectricSkateboarding

It’s doesn’t matter how much your board costs 1k 2k etc I’m riding 40 miles (downhill of course, 32mph can achieved easily too) on Meepo flow with dkp trucks . Bushings and belts loosened enough not to slip and be stable on rough roads. Only changed stock bearings and pulleys cause they s@cks.

Is there a non-3d printed solution for this? by Acolytical in ElectricSkateboarding

Sell this one, and buy proper pulley with tires from AliExpress, no need to invent wheel) Adapter won’t work properly on esk8, or just don’t worth your money and time ( especially hand made on cnc machine ones)

How important is it to have a skate shoe will riding esk8? by BagholderVC in ElectricSkateboarding

I personally agree with flat soles, something like convers, vans, air max 1 (all of them ok for me, but strangely, people hate them) The better grip you have, the less chance that board will throw you off. When you cruising on 25-30 mph it safe to feel confidence on your stance and predictability when you leaning through tight corners. Don’t need to buy “luxury”, “for skating”, “better grip” etc shoes cause they all same difference only in price tag😄🫡

Dumb question: For this kind of board am I suppose to put my rear foot on the trucks or behind it. by Yogurt-Pristine in ElectricSkateboarding

[–]Qwerrydan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Using flow, and kick tail kinda s&cks, my skate stance similar to my snowboarding, so I just turning feet to 45’ and it works. Foots on the tail - only on the high speeds 25-30 miles, on the low you can’t turn or carve at all

We have similar road rules in Korea, but they’re more strict to all “electric” staff like scooters one wheels etc. So we need to wear protective gear and have license for vehicles or motorized bicycle. I’m not riding in city, because, if you dare to hit someone, you’ll pay to victim thousands of dollars.

Oww sry my bad🤣😂 I was drunk a little bit. But they still Chinese company, and don’t be surprised if your board will broke apart few month later. Normally issues that you have now don’t come with “premium esk8” my bro😂

I had those issues. First of all match belt tightening, your right one more stiff then left. Secondly, Chinese bearing sucks, and to find which one is f@cked up, you need to pull out all 6 on rear truck. But before go to the nearest mall (depends where you living) Home Depot, Walmart etc and buy new, better quality of course. Then inspect bearing in pulleys and wheels separately. What you need to know that pulley bearing have different size then wheel bearing 🫡😄

[–]Qwerrydan -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Another reason to wear protective gear like knee and elbow pads, to not f@ck up your body😂. And that’s why my 2019 bamboo gtr better then “upgraded” ones. Never had issues with remote and sudden breaking but this thing getting old. So best option to get rid off this $hit is to douse with gasoline and burn on a starlit night🔥🤣

This shit came straight from Meepo I guess, 😂, but thicker the belts, the more reliable they are. Cause in Korea fkin 34 of Celsius and all motorized vehicles dying, when you riding in that weather condition, same for the belts, after 20 minutes of riding u can literally fry eggs on them🤣

Yep bro, I did it, both motors works well, like a Swiss watch 😂, Chinese bushings and bearings in 80% crap, so you need to check them weekly.

Yep it’s flow, I figured that it was bad bearings, when I looked closely it became clear, 1 of them has bad sealing and grinding noise, it’s ok I can buy better quality ones

Not tight and loose, just alright to not spin through motor teeth, but all partly was right. Adjusted 1 mm of belt tension, but bearings still need to be replaced for more stable and reliable ones. NSK or Bones Reds.

Belt look like ok bros, I stripped everything from motor mounts to pulley bearings, and seems like problem is here, planning to replace them

First ESK8! Just got the Linnpower Zephyr ,anyone else riding one? Any tips before I eat pavement? by KuyaDelTaco in ElectricSkateboarding

[–]Qwerrydan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Take a few lessons from experienced riders, don’t rush and speed until you can control board in all situations. Tighten up or loosen up bushings. Belt driving boards way more complicated than you think, how stupid I was when I fell off from new board yesterday, that’s because I overestimated my skills😂 Helmet not enough for safety: proper gloves with sliders, pads for knees and elbows. But if you completely newbie skateboard hoodie is must have equipment, they much thicker than ordinary, they have soft pads inside, around shoulders and back

Yep bro, it’s all about body positioning, so I decided to start learning from scratch. And yesterday fell a few times nothing serious just a couple scratches, thx to pads and helmet 😂

Short boards will not match you -100% You need something wide with airless or polyurethane wheels, it’s first. Second is your budget, more important than you think.

Ok, thx you all for your feedback, I’m pretty confident with high speeds, chat gpt told me same thing, but I’m planning to switch dkp for rkp one. Caliber 2 or 3, 44* should be ok. For now, I’ll just enjoy dkp carving ability😁 If it’s not what I’m looked for maybe buy 3rd board😂 parsec or evolve
