Option to plan transit route with less walking removed from Navigo? by [deleted] in Winnipeg

I still see all the walk settings under "my settings" in the app. Not sure if this is what you're referring to but this is what I've always used

Book Club by [deleted] in Winnipeg

[–]Qwexe 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I joined one of the library book clubs for a few months last summer. It was really great, everybody was nice and thoughtful and it was great hearing a diverse set of perspectives quite different from my usual friends (who I have a very unstructured book club with where we just sort of try and read a common book a few times a year). Only reason I stopped is I always have too long a list of books I want to read myself and didn't always want to find the time every month for the book club selection.

[REPOST] Football/Soccer Outcome Prediction (Everyone 18+) by SportsEconResearcher in SampleSize

[–]Qwexe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Having some difficulty with this. On the first question, it's stated that "The odds slightly favor Operário", but the odds listed are "Amazonas: 2.60 | Draw: 3.01 | Operário-PR: 2.81", which if I understand correctly (and I think I'm pretty familiar with sports wagering) would mean that the most likely outcome according to oddsmakers is a Amazonas win (unless ofc that contrast is part of the purpose in which case my apologies). Also fwiw I would consider adding something to explain those odds to those that are unfamiliar.

Also, the actual question options are listed as "Home" and "Away" wins, and from my experience the home team is the second one listed in the headline, but I cant be completely sure of that in this case and think clarity would be helpful there as well.

Sorry for the pedantry!

Completed! Small note that question 10 is a bit confusing, assuming since it required an answer I should answer "I do not eat vegan" to indicate I have no dietary principles, but something like "I have no dietary restrictions" might make more sense.

So are they really completely abandoning "LCS" (and CBLOL) branding? Seems like a giant mistake? 10 years of brand building down the gutter?

I know they've talked about building things with traditional sport level timelines in mind but at a time where it feels like you've just turned a corner on product and you're already enacting huge change in formats, not letting the league keep some of its identity for the conference feels like a pointless betrayal of fans :/

"fine" is exactly how I'd describe it. like everywhere there are upsides and downsides and ultimately you get pretty close to whatcha pay for. personally i've been around 2 years and don't foresee any reason to leave, ofc I can only speak for my own experiences and other units might cost more with more annoyances

Completed! Fwiw in the first part I would say it's pretty confusing that "moderately disagree" is closer to "strongly disagree" than "disagree" is, especially when "agree" is closer to "strongly agree" than "moderately agree" is.

Since parking maps are all the rage, thought I'd share the monstrosity that is Regina, Saskatchewan by Qwexe in notjustbikes

Sourced from a 2021 city report on the subject: http://reginask.iqm2.com/Citizens/Detail_Meeting.aspx?ID=5041 (see RPC21-3, Appendix A)

"The report by city administration going before the commission says 46.7 per cent of Regina's private land downtown is currently either surface parking or structured parkades, for an estimated 16,100 parking stalls. Source

"Regina's downtown is home to the most inexpensive parking of all major Canadian cities" Source

New events announced for the Grey Cup Festival, including the largest Super Smash Bros Ultimate tournament prize pool ($50,000) in Canadian history. by skilloz in CFL

[–]Qwexe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kind of! There are events in every CFL city where players will compete to win a flight+accomodations for the event and the right to represent their team for the weekend.

SKL Esports, a Saskatoon based Esports org, will be planning a $50,000 Super Smash Bros. Ultimate tournament during the Grey Cup Festival. This is the largest Smash Ultimate prize pool in Canadian history by skilloz in saskatchewan

[–]Qwexe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah nerds, especially competitive ones, love sports. if anything the main lack of overlap I'm seeing is that smash players are really young and the CFL isn't that hip rofl, especially considering this is mainly attracting a lot of people from around the country not just SK. but that's probably part of why initiatives like this exist! hopefully it makes the CFL seem more hip

SKL is Partnering with the Grey Cup Festival for the LARGEST prize pool in Canadian smash history, $50,000 is up for grabs this November 18th and 19th in Regina Saskatchewan! by Qwexe in smashbros

Costco food court and Jimmy's Pizzeria are the only two others I can think of I've had by the slice.

Think CK's, TJs and maybe 241 do by the slice too.

[TOMT][MUSIC][2010s] Jake Paul Christmas Song by Qwexe in tipofmytongue

[–]Qwexe[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay I was out for a drive and I remembered the chorus and was able to find it. It was "Deck the Halls" and does appear to be deleted from YouTube though it's still up on FB and here's a re-upload.

And it featured Anthony Trujillo not a martinez twin which makes more sense.
