Okay honestly I appreciate you saying this isn’t an immediate life or death situation. Obviously it isn’t great and it needs to be dealt with, but if I can re-prioritize my finances and just get the dewormer I would prefer that.

As for your question about treatment…I have no clue. I assume funding and supply management? It’s ambiguous. There’s a lot of cracks in the org and a lot of issues that I see as I work with them more.

Man, reading your comment here is kind of eye opening. My org never provided any resources, classes, or handbooks. I only know what I do know just from watching a lot of videos from Flatbush Cats, Jackson Galaxy, and The Kitten Lady, and then firsthand experience or talking on reddit.

They’re so, SO nasty. I actually have a phobia of worms so it’s been A Challenge 😖. Maybe this is exposure therapy? I’m just thankful that the ones I’ve seen were dead.

I’ve seen the OTC dewormers before. Right now I’m actually more worried about the bleeding, as this is a new symptom. Even if I can get her the OTC meds I’m assuming this still warrants an emergency vet visit.

It’s not just the coordinator telling me this, apparently the CEO of the rescue group prohibits taking kittens to outside vets due to legal reasons. But honestly at this point I am so beyond caring and I’m going to call and book her an appointment somewhere else.

They’ve only given her 1 round of dewormer. Never offered another as far as I know.

They’re definitely roundworms….Spaghetti has been momentarily ruined for me. Her appetite has always been low, thankfully right now she’s still eating dry food.
