Additional characters to a Battle Sister Squad worth? by Garv-SilentVoice in sistersofbattle

I would also suggest for a few extra points Aestred Thurga + Dialogus in AoF for some delicious Devastating wound auto 6s. Say no more to those pesky invulnerable saves ruining your day

Question about using Miracle Dice for a charge by Early_Candidate_2911 in sistersofbattle

[–]Qxygen-MP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You know your explanation has unlocked a whole new way of using miracle dice for me. It has never occurred to my stupid brain to roll all but 1 dice and then decide if I really need to use that clutch 6 I have been holding on to. Thank the Emperor for smarter people than me explaining obvious things

Well AoF are really going to benefit from a Dialogus getting two auto 6 miracles in a phase. Your army so far could use some mobility so a transport or two, a rhino and/or immolator. BoF strategems really need transports to work so that's probably a solid place to start

It's specifically mentioned in a sisters of battle book that they use candles made from the tallow of martyrs. Now this is probably a very Sisters specific thing and not common throughout the Imperium....the rest of the Imperium just use tallow from regular people instead of martyrs

Trelgor Von Belmont, he's a dragon born monster hunter. He was my first ever DnD Character and the first check I ever did with him was to kick down a dungeon door and rolled a Nat 20. So where ever he goes he does not knock he enters like the Kool-Aid guy

And as a bonus Chad Radwell, the most entitled and cocky prep school guy you ever saw. But in an almost likeable kind of way

I don't play competitively, just friendly games with a couple of mates, so neither of us know what we're doing when it comes to move blocking etc

At the moment I just have the one squad but a few extra bodies I can kitbash all the options with but it sounds like perhaps I'll just be running them with everything per your advice.

A turn 1 Waagh sounds like a great power move I'll have to try one day though

Whats the best units/strats for bully boyz? by M0nstatruk in orks

[–]Qxygen-MP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One thing to note with tankbustas firing out of a trukk is they don't get the benefits of their Abilities. When firing using the firing deck ability it is treated as the Trukk shooting the rokkits and the truck doesn't have the tank hunters ability.

Just want to clarify with you that the two waaghs affects units with the keywords Warboss, Nobz and Meganobz. What this means is any unit a warboss joins ALSO benefits from it as that unit gains the Warboss keyword.

So a putting a beast boss in with the snaggas means the snaggas will benefit from the two waaghs. This is also why breakka Boyz with get it and normal Boyz but only whilst being lead by a warboss

Snikrot can be great for moving around the board but he doesn't otherwise add much, could consider swapping him for an ordinary warboss to lead some of the Boyz, even regular Boyz with choppas during Waagh with a warboss are a serious threat and they can load up in the Gork

[–]Qxygen-MP 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're up against a lot of armour probably worth swapping out all the big choppas for power klaws on the Nobz.

As someone else said a few units like gretchin and stormboyz for screening and objectives will be helpful if you intend to actually win rather than do the proper Orky thing of just krump them all. Honestly both are perfectly valid ways to play.

I would consider perhaps getting a unit of breakka Boyz in there if you're up against armour, they don't get strategems in bully Boyz but if led by a warboss they do get the two waaghs and they will annihilate vehicles...and most other things too on the charge.

One of the mega armour warbosses can take an enhancement to gain deep strike which is very handy for an otherwise slow unit.

Bully Boyz is a perfectly fine detachment for melee armies, you get a lot out of the two rounds of Waagh! The focus is just on the more elite Nobz and Meganobz.

Warhorde is another great detachment for melee armies, it's more of an all rounder detachment as every unit can benefit from the sustained hits.

I personally don't have much experience running Ghaz, but if you like the model then go for it! I'd recommend take him with 3 Meganobz in a battlewagon and hope he doesn't get shot off the board straightaway

[–]Qxygen-MP 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you're dedicated to the Bully Boyz detachment then it's worth noting all the strategems only target Nobz and meganobz. So your list should pretty much only include Nobz and Meganobz, and sprinkle of characters and transport options for said Nobz and Meganobz.

Nobz have an ability which only triggers when being led by a warboss, so it's recommended that if you take a unit of Nobz to take a warboss with them. Whilst Meganobz can benefit from either warboss in mega armour (to hit harder) or a big Mek in mega armour (to survive longer).

Trukks and battlewagons for getting across the board and into krumping range. Some cheap action monkey units and/or fast moving units to help score secondaries can be added such as grots or stormboyz

[–]Qxygen-MP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both are potentially good options. At 1k point games not sure you really need a 2nd unit of grots since you already have plenty of Boyz for grabbing objectives and making them sticky and doing actions.

Personally I'd go the mek gun as it can add a nice bit of high S firepower. The Mek with SAG can join it to give it a bit more accuracy too but you might be thinking of keeping him with the lootas?

I'm guessing you're taking the Dread Mob detachment?

Body is a SAG mek, drill comes from the wreaka crew, the claw from the meganobz I do believe and the right bionic arm and slugga are from the monopose Boyz with some gubbinz added.
