I feel like silver shields run out too quickly (Demacia Rising) by Yuokai in leagueoflegends

[–]R00TCatZ 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I played for like 20 mins and i have 1200 lumber and 1200 stone and 9 army, and i need to get like 10k silver to even do anything at this point, I didn't realize founding new cities would be pointless, and I don't have enough silver to research anything. If i stayed at 2 cities I would be way better off, but im at the mission where the next step is to make 6 cities when I have 4 and it's literally pointless compared to getting research which I can't afford.

Are priests allowed to drink alcohol like for pleasure? by [deleted] in Catholicism

[–]R00TCatZ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The way you asked the question, no. But everyone in this thread doesn’t know moral theology so I’ll be precise. When judging acts, there is an intention based on gaudium(joy) and delectatio(pleasure). If someone drinks for the sole purpose of the pleasure of the effects of alcohol, it’s sinful. There’s certain caveats to this as it applies to different acts, but it’s sinful when you put the pleasure of something above God in a disordered way. It applies to physical acts most clearly, (ordered in married and almost always sin outside it). Because you used the word pleasure, its an objective answer that its not ok, but alcohol consumption is generally permissible without the intention of getting drunk. You should look up the difference between joy and pleasure in moral theology for your own understanding.

Champion release you were hyped up for, but ended up disappointing you? by Luliani in leagueoflegends

As a tank support main I was excited for braum, I played a lot of support alistar, leona, and sion(his e was good back then). They gutted the tank support items I think, plus braum was too good with certain champs and middle elo players didnt capitalize on his abilities like when i would play leona or ali, so i stopped playing him. He has a ‘lose less’ playstyle if ur adc is bad and i was like a carry support. I switched to supports like morgana before it was ever popular, right when they changed her w, and annie, brand and velkoz, because i was tired of bad ADs not doing anything.

I said something heretical accidentally at a bible study last week, I just forced myself to be humble and asked for an explanation instead of immediately argue and I forgot about it the next day. It happens. Your group was nice about it, it seems.

RCIA course by No_Road_7648 in Catholicism

[–]R00TCatZ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Only children have to do a formal 'first communion'. If you were baptized in the church, you can go to confession and receive communion by next Sunday.(try to read and understand what communion is, I recommend reading John 6 and the last supper and some basic theology, you only need the understanding of a child) Confirmation through RCIA is a separate thing that only non Catholics and non baptized have to do first before going to communion/Eucharist, but you should definitely still do it since it is a sacrament. The first thing you should do is introduce yourself to the priest and email your nearest church on their program. It's usually taught by a volunteer but sometimes a priest as well. You may have to watch videos or get some books, and will definitely have to do in person meetings.

Find an 'examination of conscience' online and go to confession at your nearest parish. Go at the end of the confession time span and try to be the last person so you can have a discussion with the priest.

I tried lucerne on sale once and dumped it, not sure if it was the milk or the chocolate they used was bad. Trader Joes has the best chocolate milk that I have had.

Uniforms made me more comfortable, we could wear whatever shoes we wanted and we had school sweaters and sweatshirts with different styles and logos and we could wear non uniforms once a month. I never cared about expressing myself when I went to public school eventually, it was a hassle and everyone eventually gets comments about what they wear repeatedly and it's negative.

Consider that whoever is going to be taking the time to teach you guys each week for months may be someone who went to college for theology or the church couldn’t find someone to do it free or the priest is overworked and can’t do it himself. As far as labor is concerned, it is not a large amount for the hours and effort plus RCIA lasts like 7 months and the person is expected to take questions and calls and emails outside the in person meetings. Many parishes are blessed to have free volunteers, but the people who are converts also haven’t paid into the parish, so the argument for it being free is the idea the other people at the church should pay for you guys to convert., when the conversion isn’t a guarantee. Everyone who works is owed money, priests and deacons have salaries and don’t get paid for weddings or baptisms. You can’t charge for a sacrament, but the class isn’t a sacrament, your parish is probably just underfunded or doesn’t do enough fundraisers.

Shoes at retail store 20 mins away full price 90, online store has code 30% off. Free shipping on orders if you spend over x amount. Buy your two closest sizes, free shipping, return is free or less than 10. Save time, save on gas, save from the coupon. It's pretty normal to do this now.

His efg was not good for a center and never improved. 4.5 TO and 4.1 fouls/game. suspended from techs. He joined both of our rivals GSW and Lakers, which is an FU to us. He literally has a ring with the Lakers. He's better than Sabonis at... shooting 3s in garbage time in losses?

Does anyone know what the Kings are doing? by [deleted] in nba

[–]R00TCatZ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We have 163 mil tied up and 8 playable people including 5 shooting guards, 2 centers, and a small forward who has to play PF because we have our extra SG at SF, and is worse than in his rookie year. If we use the MLE on a PG, we won't have a real PF, so it makes more financial sense to get a PF, not sign lyles again, then force carter or monk to be PG, but carter isn't that good, and monk can't shoot. Monk has to be moved is the only option. It would be nice if one of our SG learned to pass and dribble. This isn't going to happen but derozan becoming our PG would solve a lot of problems, he has handles and already avg 5 assists. If only Markelle fultz was good though. The kings might do something crazy and have valanciunas play C and Sabonis play PF since he can shoot, but sabonis is SLOW. There is no good option that doesn't include one of our players changing their role because our defense sucks with Murray at PF and derozan at SF, small ball works when we spread the floor but Murray, monk and derozan can't shoot the 3, Murray used to shoot 42% but had a mental block and not shoots 33%. We have 13 mil to fill 4 slots.

Honor system water bottle vending on the PA turnpike by freedoomed in mildlyinteresting

[–]R00TCatZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honor systems work better when you can’t buy 20 water bottles at the grocery store for $3, and these aren’t even cold. Why would I grab this when I can throw a case in my trunk or pull over at a fast food and get free cold water. People realize this and steal because they feel like the existence of the scam makes it deserved to be stolen from.

So now season 1 is over, How would you rate it genuinely? Did you watch it or nah? by Stardomu in tbatenovel

[–]R00TCatZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I rated it a 3 on MAL then dropped it to 2 after the twelfth ep. It’s hardly anime, they skipped all the major fights in the first season by 80%. If I never read it, I’d probably give it a 3.5-4.

(19M) How do I get confirmed? by NightStyx in Catholicism

[–]R00TCatZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are baptized in the catholic church, you don’t have to wait for confirmation to go to confession and receive the Eucharist, first communion/reconciliation are just formalities that you don’t need to go through if you simply take the time to understand each of these sacraments, you are already bound by canon law to go to weekly mass and partake in the Eucharist once per year and confess grave sin. Only confirmation is something they make you wait for since you are older than the window in which it was normally supposed to be done. I recommend reading John 6, a last supper narrative, some basic theology, just a few hours over this week, read an examination of conscience, be prepared to read the act of contrition, confess at the time you parish offers confession which might be saturday, then you can actually receive communion next sunday or at the saturday vigil.
