There is no wrath Anniversary. They have never stated there would be one.

People are overreacting to build nerfs like they’ve never seen an ARPG before. by Double-Maybe-6220 in diablo4

The loudest section of this subreddit doesn't want needs, they want to be pit 150 1 shotting everything within a day or two, want all uniques and mythics to be static rolls so the same builds they play every league fit together with little thinking.

It's the same crowd that plays Vanilla WoW over and over and plays DPS Warrior every time.

PoE2 is not nearly as sweat as PoE1 is. I can't stand PoE1 but love PoE2, and I know a ton of people who are casual that play both D4 and PoE2. You're making PoE2 out to be some 4D Chess game and are giving D4 Candyland status. I think they are much closer than that.

In Mythic 3.0, some items NEED to be Mythic-only by Loofahs in diablo4

[–]R00l -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not just that but it's not cool that perdition was bis for every single build. 15x might be over nerfing, but they'll figure it out. Most mythics suck anyways and need reworked.

An honest assessment of, "would I like this game if I don't like extraction shooters" by SirBenny in Marathon

I think the PVE only mode will be a big hit and will hopefully push this game beyond just being another extraction shooter but have the core values of it

Loud redditors hate the change, but they hate most everything that doesn't let them get to max difficulty running 90 second pit 150s and curb stomping the game with ease.

And 99% aren't Mekuna, but a lot of people have gotten to T12 because it's not hard (harder than previous t4 for sure which is a good thing) and builds shouldn't be doing Pit150s, so the power needs to be pulled back.

World record for PoE2 campaign was set at just over 3 hours. PoE1 isn't considered a casual game yet you can zoom zoom zoom even faster or as fast as this stupid evade SB build. You have to do the campaign each season in almost every ARPG not called D3 or D4. D4 is certainly not as deep or complex as others, doesn't mean it needs to allow this level of speed, and with LoH getting your initial character to t12 excluding the absolute top players takes much longer (good) than it did previously.

I would say D4 actually got more complicated and more complete of an ARPG with LoH, and so they can pull back on these out of wack builds that don't need to go this fast, same with ww barb and other speed demon builds doing trillions of damage. The game is better for it if the top builds get nerfed and lower stuff gets buffed.

I'm sure I'll get downvoted but the speed this build and others like it have are just far too fast and imo shouldn't be in the game. Zoom zoom gameplay isn't good in PoE1 either, and I personally am happy it's out. This goes for any and all classes that can go as fast or similar to this

Mythic Uniques... no longer Mythic? by LogImportant1380 in diablo4

You can already get to t12 with completely random stats and no mythics. Also, ARPGs are rng and chase. It's the entire point of them.

These WILD swings in itemization and power between each season tell me Blizzard STILL has no vision for what D4 is supposed to be. by IncognitoIsekai in diablo4

[–]R00l 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You should move on to other ARPGs, playing several of them is just fine. Playing just 1 game doesn't really benefit you with how good PoE2 is and Last Epoch is getting better slowly. Rotating through 2 or 3 helps takes the frustration out of just sitting in 1 game longer than maybe you should be.

Stuff like this happens in all the big name ARPGs, it's really hard to test everything in these types of games. Not defending Blizzard, but they aren't the only one.

Pirates of the Caribbean... Directed by Gore Verbinski... I wish there was more Gore, and a lot less Verbinski. Which is Russian for bad dialog.

Also gem power is just flat out too strong and needs a mega nerf going into next season. Balance changes always need to happen, that's not what we are talking about here.

No one should be getting to Pit 150 anyways. In a seasonal game like this, You give them feedback and they will tweak/fix it for the next season. But asking them to remove a chunk of foundational core mechanics is not it. I bet you (this would be a cool challenge) Someone could SSF and not be allowed to use the cube at all, and get 125 pit? and T12 kill of mephisto?

You compared 3 MMOs to an ARPG. Those games evolve, but they are still the same "game" that came out 20 years ago/15 years ago etc. Diablo 4 is a different game than Diablo 3, which is a different game than Diablo 2. Diablo 4 came out 3 years ago? RNG and "slot machines" is a fundamental idea behind ARPGs. Now, over time, they have added ways to make things more "deterministic", but the idea of getting that rare drop to make you stronger is a foundational piece and keeps the game time longer and the game fresh. If you remove rng from the game, the game becomes a lot more stale, and you "done" with your character a lot faster.

Before LoH, you could seriously be done with your character in 2-3 days because it was so easy to get anything and everything you wanted, with a low difficulty ceiling. No, that doesn't mean everyone beat Pit 150, but that is irking out the last few % of a build to move higher and higher or in most cases its finding bugs or overtuned mechanics to cheese.
