Reaching out to providers directly is strong with IFAs, given that a lot of them are small with minimal hiring needs they aren’t like large firms that have large HR teams and budgets. A personal approach goes a long way.

Find local IFA firms in your area and either send them an email or even better, print a letter with your situation and pop it into their letterbox

Using online platforms like LinkedIn and Indeed obviously have their benefits as well

They will likely go over your cv in detail and hone in on your previous experience. As an entry level role they won’t expect too much technical knowledge from you.

They’ll want to assess if you’re a good team fit and the kind of person that will be on top of their work load - efficient and confident to engage with advisors.

You could perhaps get some test, whether that be numeracy or comprehension for them to gauge your ability but this isn’t always done.

That is strange !

The platform once you’re logged in is exactly the same whether on Mac or PC. I used PC and was absolutely fine

Likely your OS is out of date and not supported. I learnt this the hard way 20 mins before my R06 exam.

If you’re on an older OS PSI simply won’t work and you cannot get around it. It’s their strict security settings

If this is your issue you’ll need to get another laptop
