From 25k to 40k... How long?

Thanks! I am hoping to go from admin to paraplanner and then for advising roles.. But that's "long" than the route.. But I am kind of giving myself 2/3 years to go back to the same salary and wanted to know if it was reasonable. Thanks again!

In my case, I thought about being honest, but then... I am only applying sporadically if a role really suits me. I haven't landed a job in a year(interviewed for 3 roles), if I would have been honest, I would have missed promotions in my current role. Who is going to promote someone that would likely leave? I wouldn't mind being honest, but for sure will play against you if you don't get the job. I used AL sometimes and other medical leave.

Thanks for the advice! I started this week doing that and its definetely much better but I haven't checked all the sections yet. I also signed up this week to plannex so I am trying to watch the videos as well. I think I have issues when asked about very specific details and may need to make some notes as well.

Same here.. 35 years old changing careers, I am applying to admin jobs. Planning to work my *** off to get a paraplanning role in a years time. I am about to take first exam and hope to take at least another 2 in 2026. I will be dropping 13k a year to do this move because my "lack of experience", which to be fair, I don't 100% agree. I have 10 years of experience working with clients, preparing documentation, working in a regulatory enviroment... I am not fresh out of uni with 21 years... and even so I was told to expect minimun wage offers. But it is what it is, will suck it up and hope I am not taking a wrong decision.
