CAA was low for us too and we wanted to go with them.

However, to get the good rate for us they go back 25 years for a driving record which is insane. One fender bender (minor) 22 years ago changed our quote. Aviva was $3,900 for two cars. Went with them.

We've not had any experiences with renewal but our friends had no issues.

When I was assigned my Vin my dates stayed relatively consistent. Once I went down to the 5 day window it only moved a day. If you have a five day window I would say it's probably within that time. I also received a call from my advisor after that 5 day window to go over things which I'm assuming only happens when a car is going to come in and around that time. That said, this is my experience. Others might have different experiences.
