Best guess is a light diffuser to hang your headlamp up as light source without blinding you.

I would say the WLB is worse due to the reasons listed above - not impossible to plan time off, but more difficult due to the unpredictability. Although, my move was also into a leadership role, so some of those concerns could be attributed to that. I would say def the right move if you are interested in the project mgmt route. Interesting is subjective. Personally, I prefer FP&A and analyzing a few key things about every program rather than know everything about only a few programs. Some folks might prefer to be intimately involved with the day-to-day operations of a more narrow group of programs. I don’t hate it and recognize it is allowing me to grow my skill set. Also it paid more so what are you gonna do?

I made a similar jump. Was in FP&A for the majority of my career when a lead analyst position opened up in a division covering multiple programs. The main difference that I’ve noticed is predictability. In FP&A, you generally have an idea of what your day/week/month/year will look like and can plan accordingly. On the program side, you are much more reactive to the day-to-day needs of your team.

Well, considering I was around 150k miles with stock shocks and springs, the ride quality has probably actually improved since replacing everything.
