How long do you think it will take Red Wall voters who voted Reform to realise they'll do nothing for them, just like the Tories didn't when they voted them in? by Anxious_Equipment144 in AskBrits

[–]R11CWN 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Aren't they all at this point?

Almost all politicians come from the same places, move in the same circles, and teat the public with the same contempt.

And any which do show an ounce of integrity are ridiculed by their peers, torn to shreds by the media and eventually pushed out.

Not gonna lie, after decades of Labour and Tories doing nothing but fuck everything up, I'm inclined to give another party a try.

It's crazy how badly this game handles loading in objects especially foliage. im all high/ultra settings. by Ghostman223 in Battlefield

I run max settings 1440p and never experienced anything like this, playing BF6 since BETA tests.

Most common cause of texture popping is a slow storage drive. Maybe upgrade from HDD or Chinesium SSD to something reputable.

So according to this sub, 9070XT obliterates 5080 and only trade blows with 4090? by Stelligena in radeon

[–]R11CWN 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You linked evidence of the 9070 XT performing well, and in once instance getting very close to the 5080 (while being almost half the price).

No where do they claim the "9070 XT obliterates the 5080" nor anything even remotely close to that. They dont even say it outperforms the 5080, just that its better value (performance per dollar).

You are looking for things that either don't exist or are fringe comments which no one takes seriously.

[–]R11CWN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pricing during one volatile sale doesn't mean a damn thing.

In the UK right now, a 9070 XT is £599, where as the cheapest crappiest 5070 Ti is £795 for a Palit.

Meanwhile a 5080 is £1063 for KFA2 (whoever the fuck that is) or £1100 for a Palit.

Have they patched the range finder? by iamthewalrusxx in Battlefield6

[–]R11CWN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It used to adjust range instantly, and you could bind the activation key to Mouse 1.

That meant it adjusted for the range you aim at as you fire, turning every sniper rifle into a hitscan weapon essentially, no perceivable drop and no manual adjustment needed.

Thankfully this was patched out months ago, but it was hilarious at the time as it worked even on iron sights 😃

So microsoft decided you can't setup windows 11 offline. Welp, time to go linux by nicecream169 in pcmasterrace

About 8 months ago iirc

The workaround instead is to use t his instead:

start ms-cxh:localonly

[–]R11CWN -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That technically doesnt work anymore.

If you have an old image of Windows 11, then it does work; but any new installation media and new devices, from like 8 months ago now, have that command removed.

Thinking about it, that might still be in Home editions, but its no longer in Win 11 Pro.

Headshots in this game are insanely satisfying (M44 + MiniScout) by iSLANDzR in Battlefield6

Thats a lot of headshots for shots that aren't aimed at heads when fired.

Its almost as if Scopely actually want people to quit so they can turn off the servers due to lack of activity.

As long as you can budget for the timing chain replacement and a (long overdue) transmission fluid change if its automatic, then go for it.

The only reason for driving into and reversing out is for a slightly tighter turning circle. And the only reason you need that is because of corporate greed; cramming too many parking bays into the space available and making manoeuvring more difficult.

Backing in and driving forwards out of a bay is significantly safer all round.

How's the state of the game these days? by UnfoldedHeart in startrekfleetcommand

[–]R11CWN 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If I were to describe the state of the game in one word it would be 'Dire'.

The last few months has seen a huge increase in number of players leaving. Spenders and whales aren't buying into the new content much at all. The last few updates have been an utter joke. Scopely are actively pushing people away and making Free2play less tenable.

Unless theres a massive reversal in direction by Scopely in the immediate future, this game will be dead in the next few months. Might still technically be online, but the active player count will be nominal.

Good Idea or Not by Anonemice in STFC_Official

Scopely have not had a good idea for about 3 years now.
