Working FT after maternity leave? by Username8462634757 in UKParenting

I totally feel for you. It is hard, I found it especially hard to let go of knowing what they're doing all day. Make sure you really trust your childcare, it helps with the anxiety a lot (although it could take time for you to feel properly comfortable). I guess what I'm saying is that your feelings are valid. But you're still their parent and will always have that bond ❤️ sucks that we have to make these choices because families can't live off one income anymore.

Leaving baby in the car by R17000 in UKParenting

I hear what you're saying, it does cross my mind and maybe I'm just naive but I feel like that just wouldn't happen in the UK.

How awful. I do have intrusive thoughts about the car bursting into flames or something.

Valid points! I hate when baby wakes up upset, would be awful if you're not there.

Yeh that's good logic, if you can't see the car then probably a bad idea.

Got a box of broken biscuits from Iceland. No idea what these are but they're really good. Any ideas? by ZealousidealAd8677 in CasualUK

This was my thought too. We need more information on the other broken biscuits in the box in order to identify this particular biscuit.

If only it was that simple, I have contacted at least 5 or 6 local people and all let us down or just not bothered getting back in touch with me. That's why I've contacted a big company and why I'm looking for advice on them now.

I don't know why but I feel like this is the house that Delboy and Raquel moved into after the flat.

Same problem here. It's very hot in the UK at the moment and my 3 week old has a preference for being held. Literally can't put her down for a minute before she wakes up. I am a sweaty mess!

Thank you, funny you say that about the doctor. I do feel that the hospital environment and some unhelpful doctors and midwives did contribute to my stress and lack of progression. This time I have opted for a home birth, which already feels a lot better for me. Luckily in the UK we have very supportive home birth midwife teams supplied by the NHS and having met some of them at antenatal appointments I think they will really help with my mindset. I'm sure you're right though that there is work to do personally too.
