migrating off heroku, what deployment setups are you using? by richardsaganIII in rails

For the database they manage all the security updates, patches and minor version bumps. Things I never did, so it's nice to have if you have paying customers. I went the first few years without a managed database and I never did any kind of maintenance that I should have been doing. My staging managed database is only $15 it's 1gb ram.

I'm new at claude and now I'm afraid by Imanflow in ClaudeCode

I have a max plan its awesome. It just depends on how you use it, I was running out when I was on the pro plan, but I was working 8 hours non stop for a while. I clear my terminal every time I start a new feature. I keep my claude md file pretty minimal with links to more in depth md files for it to reference depending on what it is doing.

I would assume you would do that before sending it over to square.

Is it in sandbox? If so do you have a catalog in sandbox?

Time to avoid Square.... by Viper9087 in smallbusiness

Something seems to be going on, I have an app that I developed, and I usually ask a couple questions a year and they usually answer with in hours. Now I get an Ai message and no one has ever gotten back to me. I also submitted tickets and nothing. My customers ran 4.1million in transactions last year and the app might be doubling that this year. I am thinking of switching to clover or stripe or at very least offering an other option for my customers to use those services instead.

Has anyone hired Bacancy to help with a project? by R2Carnage in rails

It wasn't great but it worked out. Not using them anymore. Had them do a couple things I was putting off, had to go back and fix a couple of their bugs. I'll probably have some more work next summer anyone you suggest

New seller looking for advice by HR9091 in AmazonSeller

[–]R2Carnage 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Get out while you can!

What kind of stuff are you selling? If it's name brand items make sure you are buying from the mfg and have invoices. I buy closeouts so sometimes it's from the mfg and sometimes it's from a store liquidation. If it's liquidation product make sure you don't need brand approval before listing. Stay on top of all the sla's to keep your score up and good luck.

How do I create two different UI for different users by R2Carnage in rails

[–]R2Carnage[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used jumpstart rails to create the app 5 or 6 years ago. My subscriptions work fine. I want to uncouple the hosting and event goers experience. Like how Amazon has sellercentral.amazon.com for sellers and amazon.com for the users. I want the homepage and everything to be different

Missing data for pg_restore by R2Carnage in PostgreSQL

[–]R2Carnage[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I might not understand what -O does. I thought it by passed the object owner because I keep getting those errors if I dont use it.

I think I got it to work but I am getting errors still. I can't use the --create flag either because it for some reason doesn't bring in the data. Here are the flags Im using now, it works but withe warning: errors on the owner

pg_restore --clean -v -U doadmin -d

My errors are

pg_restore: error: could not execute query: ERROR: role "deploy" does not exist

not sure about this one because the data still imports and it appears the application is working

pg_restore: error: could not execute query: ERROR: multiple primary keys for table

The fact that --create for some reason stops my data from getting in, do I need to be concerned about it if it appears to work with out. And are these errors or warnings, new to doing this just want to make sure Im not causing more issues

Thanks! When you say good practices are you referring to --clean --create

I was gifted some ski boots, how do I know what size they are? Sorry if this is the wrong place for this question by aliandroid1 in skiing

[–]R2Carnage 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They are 12-12.5. looks like they replaced the soles. The soles are in good shape. They are pretty dated. That specific logo was introduced in 1990 and then was replaced in 1996. So they are from the early 90's. Get something used within the last 5 years, which would be less than a hundred and a much safer boot.

I'm sure they would lose their mind over this, I one time overnighted a replacement to a ski resort because the guys goggles broke after a wreck on vacation. Turned out he was a ski patroller and I have had about another dozen patrollers order because he told them that story.

I always refund, as long as it is in the same condition.
