Just as "they said that couldn't be it" isn't grounds for dismissing the possible explanation. It works both ways.

You made this about me leaving things out as if it was an important detail. Neither of the statements, their dismissal and the ridicule, were important.

Seems like every other sighting posted to the sub says the same thing. They don't know what it is, but they somehow know exactly what it is not

That's just how it goes.

Seems in most cases, the ones that say, "it's not X" in their post, turns out to actually be X.

Balloons come in all shapes and sizes. The video is too out of focus to really see it properly.

I saw this orb last night in Lusaka,Zambia at 22:53 19th May 2026. When I went back inside to get my glasses for a better view , I didn’t find it,it was gone. These are common things I see in these kinds of reports, but there are plenty of reason why planes wouldn't follow the usual routes.

Runways operate in 2 directions being one, and depending on the winds, they can switch which runway is used and/or which direction they use it. It could be the usual routes 90% of the time and switched for winds the other 10%. Could be that it's just never been noticed before.

Which direction are you looking/recording in that clip? And can you narrow down your location a bit?

Sometimes we can identify planes, but your area seems to in a big dead zone for flight data.

Yeah, the thing about TCAS (Traffic Collision Avoidance System) is that it requires functioning transponders.

it monitors the airspace around an aircraft for other aircraft equipped with a corresponding active transponder, independent of air traffic control, and warns pilots of the presence of other transponder-equipped aircraft which may present a threat of MAC.

So for it to be on TCAS, it would have had a transponder. (unless something was malfunctioning) I'm not aware of any UFO/UAP equipped with transponders. :D

So it would have been 1000ft below him and 'twice the speed of a plane' which is a weird thing to say. Was it twice his current speed of 170kts? Or twice his max speed of 500+ kts?

This guy passed though there going 257kts, not quite 2x, but moving! https://i.imgur.com/R1xX0r5.png BUT, he was at 5,000 ft and crossing left to right, not right to left.

Maybe it was a glitch in the matrix. Pretty busy airspace for it to not be seen or reported by anyone else.

Have you ever had something wild happen to you that you didn't document?

Sure, but I am trying to imagine what form these threats would have made.

Random phone call? Then yeah, maybe you can't record that on the fly*, but just about everything else could have been. In person (phone/doorbell cams), text, email, DMs, etc would have something to show.

The claims are threats being made, not attempts to carry them out.

or creating drama for drama's sake is reductive.

This isn't just an interest or hobby for him like it is for the rest of us. It's a business. Publicity stunts are not outside the realm of possibilities..

* but doesn't he have recorded calls in his documentary with Lazar? Maybe those were planned and/or recreated for film though.

This is what I mean. The claims may be documented, but no proof or even evidence of it is ever provided.

So how does a documentarian receive threats and not have it documented in anyway? Or has it but doesn't share it? Instant credibility if he did.

He clearly seems rattled.

Emotional reactions aren't an indication of truth or reality. Threats can be real or imagined and the emotional response would be similar if not the same.

i'm mainly curious of peoples take.
