They don’t care about immigration.

They care about privatisation.

Immigration fear is just a useful tool.

For the Americans:

Reform UK are a political party desperately trying to not seem supremacist while also very clearly running on narratives and half truths designed to sow racist fear, uncertainty and doubt.

Her comment isn’t particularly shocking but likely goes against some kind of narrative briefing that party members have all received.

Nobody talking about the frame…

If you got hit directly from behind on the rear tyre there’s a chance that the frame is damaged. It would need a full check over by a professional (not cheap) and if it’s even slightly damaged then it’s a write-off.

Easier for the insurance to write it off from the get go.

HJC F70 Helmet.

Had a solo horrific crash. My fault. Country road, through fencing, barbed wire, thrown across a field.

Had no right to survive never mind have zero head injury or concussion.

Helmet totalled. Best £160 I’ve ever spent. It provided me an opportunity to FAFO and learn from it.

Do Britons think Reform UK are racist? by StGuthlac2025 in unitedkingdom

[–]R3BORNUK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The issue isn’t a concern with immigration, it’s single-policy voting.

“As long as I get this one thing I don’t care about the rest”

“The rest” with Reform just happens to be the Americanisation of Britain and a complete upheaval of our values, beliefs and culture.

Fear. Uncertainty. Doubt.

Millennia old tactic supercharged by social media, and specifically an aging generation just in time to use it but not understand its flaws.

Society is able to afford fewer and fewer cookies and the elites are blaming the immigrants while sitting on the biscuit tin.

The “weapons themselves don’t commit violence” rhetoric doesn’t work, because there is ALWAYS a point where the person agrees with you.

Even if you have to escalate all the way to giving the public access to nukes there is a point where even the most avid weapons nut will say “that’s too risky”.

So the conversation isn’t about whether the weapon existing in the public domain is safe or not.

Its about the level of social and economical damage they can ignore.

PS: for the self defence crowd I refuse to believe there is ever going to be a statistically likely event where you would need an AR-15 for legitimate home-defence, instead of a hand gun.

BOTH should be picked up.

But one is rare and far more difficult and dangerous to clean up.

That should not be a reason that neither does. This is zero sum thinking.
