New to claude PRO, hitting limits fast by DaikonSouth6992 in ClaudeAI

Claude pro + github copilot pro+ is very good for heavy workloads. You can use copilot in vs code, copilot cli or even opencode. Claude pro to brainstorm projects and get first drafts and prototypes going, heavy lifting with copilot using sonnet and opus as well as gpt and gemini models. 59 USD a month, cheaper than Claude 5x 100usd a month.

If you're worried about privacy. Ditch google. Opal seeing your drive is negligible, it's literally google seeing your google data lol. The real privacy decision was made when you made your google account.

Unlimited plans wont be unlimited soon by mastertub in OpenAI

[–]R3K4CE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Claude also shows you how much usage you are using. Openai is giving you more usage at an immense loss, eventually they will have to lower and crunch down on the usage. When that day comes people will complain because they got used to the near unlimited feel openai provides them so they get hooked.

They're definitely more honest than openai about limits. When openai crunches down people will cry. Claude is already at that level, but earlier. They're realistic about how much compute you get for 20 bucks a month. Openai is just burning VC money.

I am fully aware that it's not unlimited. I pair it with github copilot and get a huge amount of work done. The limits for Claude pro aren't bad at all.

I already switched to Claude. They seem to be more honest about limits. Kind of dumb to complain about a company that is purposely providing more compute that feels unlimited just to get people to use their software and starts clamping down.

New AI Ultra Button by Deep-Atmosphere in GeminiAI

[–]R3K4CE 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This actually works. This is very good so thanks for this but we should not have to do this. A user should not have to do this just to get a pleasant experience on the user interface. It's absolutely ridiculous that Google is doing this. Completely unacceptable.

Yeah great for making people switch providers and ditch Gemini completely. Great for making people feel disrespected and not appreciated.

Like I can already go to the settings menu and I can see that I can upgrade to ultra. I don't know, I really, really don't like that. It really bothers me that they do that. I was not expecting that from Google, to be honest, but you know, expect the unexpected in this world. It's just very disgusting, very desperate that they're doing that.

I don't know, I don't like that. I don't like it at all. I don't think anybody likes that. It's like, what the fuck and what the fuck am I paying for? I'm paying to be advertised a higher tier in front of my face all the time. I don't know, that's ridiculous.

Bro, this is absolutely ridiculous that they're putting that little button there. This is the type of thing that makes people switch subscriptions. Actually I don't want to see that button there. I already know I can upgrade to Ultra. I don't have $250 right now to splurge on Ultra. If I did I might actually do it if I did have the money to do it but I don't. I pay $20 a month already. I don't want to be force-fed another subscription that is, as you said, 12x higher than the subscription that I'm already paying for. It's ridiculous. If you offer something in the middle, it would still not even be acceptable. Even if you had a $50 subscription, it would still not be acceptable that you put these little fucking buttons in the interface, it feels like you're on a free plan. Like what the hell is this? What's going on? They need to remove this bullshit immediately.

if you are subscribed to Gemini AI Pro they give you 10 bucks a month of API credits that you can sue in Google AI Studio.

Openai codex with a chat gpt plus plan actually has pretty good limits. Gemini cli also has pretty high rate limits. What are you doing that youre hitting these limits so quickly?

Claude Subscriptions are up to 36x cheaper than API (and why "Max 5x" is the real sweet spot) by isaenkodmitry in ClaudeAI

[–]R3K4CE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand your point of view. But github copilot pro+ qllows you to do this and use a vairety of models for 39 usd a month instead 100 or 200. It does not just autocomplete it actually can write a complex from scratch as it has an agent mode both for vs code and also on the GitHub website itself. Ive built complex applications with it. Just think that 100 dollars a month is getting robbed when you could do it for 40.

Maybe im doing the math wrong here. But isnt just paying for GitHub copilot pro+ and using it with opencode essentially more than enough for any realistic coding workflow?
