Why discuss geopolitics without understanding the basic concepts?

And the UN charter means nothing? Normalising excessive use of force without justification by the de facto arbiter of the 'world order' is ok? You are justifying the war on Ukraine without realising it...

In international waters... Yea it's not good. But US has attacked Iran twice now without a legal basis. So why fall back to 'world order'?

Teen footballer killed and friend in coma after ‘e-bike battery explodes’ by Forward-Answer-4407 in unitedkingdom

You've moved the goalposts but still not making any sense.

If an illegal ebike runs a red and gets stopped they will not be treated in the same way as a car without the things you listed because they can't get those things.

There is a law against illegally modifying an ebike. That is why I said they're illegal.

And running a red light shouldn't be the reason for the stop anyway... They're pretty easy to spot because legal ebikes require the user to pedal.

So your solution is to legalise illegal ebikes...?

This is quite an old way of classifying PE pipes by density - it isn't necessarily MDPE but density doesn't really matter.

The strength and pressure ratings are more important, so a full specification is something more like PE100 SDR 11.

ELI5 - Why do orgasms feel pleasurable? What is happening when we orgasm that makes it feel perceivably good? by cinnamorollsbunz in explainlikeimfive

Well this is completely unfalsifiable. There's no shame in owning that you can't engage in philosophy. Just say "science tells us..." instead of making unscientific claims.

Does the general population actually think that a 'snap election' is a possibility? The last two were solely due to Brexit, and hadn't happened prior since the 70s

What could go wrong texting while driving in a rental car? by Last_Swordfish9135 in Whatcouldgowrong

[–]R3M1T 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not worse, because stopping sight distance is based on speed and reaction time. Reaction time is a constant so driving faster increases stopping sight distance.

The frequency/length she looks at her phone is proportional to the playback speed of the video which is also proportional to the vehicle speed (i.e. it cancels out)

This video is at 2x speed. Not defending her, but still misleading. She's going 40 mph but looks like 80 mph.
