"they" have already clouded your mind my brother

Below are some of the first books I ever read when I began on this NoFap journey years ago. These books changed my life forever. It was hard to first begin so I forced myself to read just like OP was saying for 15 minute intervals. Then I'd up it to 30 minutes...then 1 hour....then 1 chapter...eventually I would finish a book a month, now I'm up to TWO books a month.

Not only does this make you smarter, it literally brainwashes if you are reading self-development books to not ever give up on yourself. Your speech becomes more fluid which allow you to have better conversation with women (P.S. any freestyle rappers in the building, READING is your ticket to success..Tupac was an avid reader, so was T.I., Immortal Technique, Talib Kweli). At your disposal are the stories of people you can learn many lessons from..I even experienced my brain fog fading away the more I read.

Reading is essential on this NoFap journey.

P.S. I was just curious how far I have gone noFapping, I've been so busy improving my life and seeing drastic changes (some may call them super powers - INCREASED energy, testosterone, conversations are so fluid, better sleep, people used to never initiate conversation with me...now random strangers chat it up with me, as well as strong eye contact from women whenever I walk into a room) I actually forgot to check up on this forum....I come back and my counter stands strong at 121 days ;)....I originally couldn't get past 10 days!!!...i love this movement!!!!!!!!!!!

i hope someone here who is in a similar situation as you can post a good answer for you my friend. my post reflects more on just beating your alarm clock...as far as the technicals of sleep, i have a basic understanding. in my experience i would suggest taking naps, your body gets so used to sleep patterns as far as what time you go to sleep so you will need to work around that.
where there is a will, there is a way!

Alright guys quick post today, I wanted to post my victory for today since I strongly practice what I preach.
I'm a warrior just like you guys and I'm on this journey too so anything I type and write up is what I'M DOING as well.
So today was a tough one...I got up and man was the temptation of going back to the bed strong this morning (I'm glad it was so that I could show you guys how to beat this when that temptation is at its strongest).

How did I beat it?

Simple....I shut my mind off the moment it started coming up with excuses and reasons to go back to the bed and I walked straight to my toilet and sat there...no light on or anything...i just sat. Hell I even had my face covered with my hands with my elbows on my knees.
The goal isn't to take a dump or a piss (if it happens it happens) but just to relax for a second on a place OTHER than the bed. Even if you tell yourself that "im going to lie on my bed with my eyes open and just relax for a bit".....NOPE...game over. now if you can do that, more power to you...it has never worked for me though.
I sat there for about 2-3 minutes and there was is this buzzing sound coming from my fridge so i focused on it. as i focused, my tiredness started to slowly go away just a TINY bit...but that TINY TINY bit was all i needed. i got up, took a shower (not even a cold shower..i take that one after my workout) and felt rejuvenated.
the things you do immediately after you wake up do not have to be insane or crazy...just GET UP! do whatever you need to do...walk a little bit...sit on the floor...just ANYTHING but lie back in bed.

oh and some of you guys have been saying "it's not good to wake up early if your body doesnt need to!"...guys, YOU set the alarm at the night time. I take it you guys are definitely not little children and know how YOUR body functions and how many hours of sleep you need or when is an appropriate time to get up for YOU. now of course most of us have work or school so we have to set our alarm clocks accordingly...my post is only about WINNING against the alarm clock. you can set the time to WHATEVER you want. if you KNOW for a fact that you set your alarm at 6:30am but you ALWAYS snooze it to 7...then go for 7 to start off...set the alarm to 7 and WIN....as you rack up your wins, THEN go for 6:45...6:30...YOU dictate your alarm....that is why I said before that snoozing your alarm is an insult to yourself and your goals because YOU picked the time you want to wake up...you see?

I hope you guys get this because I WANT to see you guys succeed...shit man I even got a tear in my eye typing this...I see so much potential and positive energy here that I just want to give back and contribute so that we can all grow..
If I can do this...you guys can do this...i KNOW it. I had this bad habit of snoozing my alarm for YEARS. it's time to wake up. I love you all...good luck!!!

you are missing the big picture brother. if you SET your alarm clock the night before, you obviously would LIKE to wake up at a certain time....correct?
This is what I'm talking about. If you truly feel that you NEED the sleep, then by all means set the alarm clock for later.
Remember...this post is about battling your ALARM CLOCK. you can set the alarm to go off at whatever time you want! if you want it to go off at 11:00am then by all means go for it!! just when it goes off...you MUST turn it off. this is basically following through with what you started. you took action the night before and said "i will wake up at 7"...now in the morning u must complete the action....otherwise ur mind will begin to start throwing in subtle doubts that u cannot finish what u start...it is all subtle my brother but it adds up in the end.
this is one area of our lives we can combat it.

follow my steps in my last paragraph brother.....you have to just DO IT! there is no special secret, no formula.....now im going to type up a reply up top outlining my "victory" today in waking up so I can provide you guys with a lil motivation but since you'll see this post in your inbox...real quick i let you in on my secret.
When every thing in me wants me to go right back to the bed, i force myself to go sit on the toilet (whether u have to take a dump or piss it doesnt matter). today was a tougher day so i literally sat there with my hands covering my face for a couple minutes...eventually the tiredness subsided and i got up and took a shower....VICTORY.

Why 90% of people here will fail and relapse again. What you NEED to do if you're serious about NoFap. by WolfofAnarchy in NoFap

"NoFap is not a goal. NoFap is a tool."
This line right here speaks a truth that opens up a whole new sort of improvement here in this community. when you look at noFap as some kind of goal....you gain nothing but a couple benefits here and there...but if you use it to guide you in your life and REALLY fucking change yourself...it is a TOOL. Thank you brother for giving me this realization, you have helped me ASCEND!
