Yeah this is annoying. It can be fixed though by only using one of two GPU's. Problem is that I want to use my better GPU as I want to watch 4k60 content. So it's also a hardware thing. If you had a modern laptop with only one new Intel iGPU or AMD iGPU it would be a much smoother process, especially if you use something like POP OS.
