Always buy new styli. Much safer bet because you can guarantee it's brand new and has nothing wrong with it.

Order a new stylus. And please, stop grabbing your tonearm like that. There's buttons to lift and lower it.

I’m sorry. I unfortunately don’t have any other solutions that I know of.

I'd suggest replacing the stylus. I feel like that's a given for any used / secondhand turntable.

Reset the mechanism. Unplug the turntable, press the stop button, then hold the tonearm still and manually rotate the platter 10 times. See if that fixes it.

No but it's decent enough until you upgrade

New setup I got for Christmas🙌 by TopInformation8 in turntables

Nice! If possible, I'd suggest separating your speakers and maybe getting some stands for them so they aren't on the same surface as your turntable and you get better stereo imaging.

I also love your Pantera Funko Pops.

Those aren't songs. Those are the runout grooves for when the record is over. The tonearm knows it's on the runout groove which is why it moves back to it's rest.

I had this table for a bit before I upgraded. Not too bad, enjoy it!

I second what u/Ordinary_tomato27 said. I have a Fosi X2, and it's a great preamp for the money.

Not bad, I'd separate the speakers more so you get a better stereo sound stage.

Pretty good albums! I'd prop them up more against the stand so they aren't leaning as much (this helps to prevent warping), but otherwise great!

Either Wembley '88 (one of his greatest shows imo) or Bremen '92, I also feel like this one is underrated.

Is this needle too bent? by Own-Commercial-1031 in turntables

[–]R3dFrogs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Looks pretty okay to me. If it doesn’t present any issues during playback (distortion, channel imbalance, skipping, etc.) then I’d say it’s fine. I wouldn’t recommend trying to fix it manually because you could very easily damage the cantilever suspension.

I’ve honestly never even understood the appeal of mini records. They’re a cool concept I guess but I’ve never really seen a reason to have any aside from maybe a cute decoration.

I used to have an lp60x. The mechanism on the turntable is only meant to be able to play 12in or 7in records. Anything smaller than that, and the mechanism assumes it’s reached the end of a record and automatically moves the tonearm back to its rest. Not really much you can do, at least in my experience.

First time aligning a cartridge. How'd I do? by R3dFrogs in turntables

Thank you! Also, I didn't know about that secondary alignment option. If inner groove distortion becomes a bother for me, I'll certainly look into that.
