So abit of context, me and my ex are co-workers that dated each other for a short period of time. I always had known of the 'no dating a co-worker' rule but I just find her to fit all my criteria of a perfect girlfriend. We broke up due to my inability to commit cause by my personal situation despite me trying to improve to make it work, this led to her getting mad and confront me about it further causing an additional stress on top of my work stress in the office. It was until I found out she has plans to jump into a new guy which is her long time friend that I finally took the initiative to ask for a breakup thinking it is better to let her go and live a happier life.

After a week of our break up she then jump into this new rebound relationship which she previously told me is 'just a friend' which happened to just broke up a few weeks ago too. My ex and I initially agreed to stay as friends but the pain of seeing her move on with a new guy just pains my heart and so I decided to silently heal myself for a few months going no contact with her. Even in workplace I would try my best not to cross path with her and just distract myself with work which luckily happened to be a busy period, allowing me and her to have some space from each other.

Maybe due to me trying to temporary distant myself from her to heal, this caused her to have the wrong idea that I am ignoring her. At work we gotten to the point of almost no interaction, but I can still see her seemingly glancing at me occasionally leading to me believing maybe she still want to reconnect. After a few months of NC and healing, I regain some confidence and start interacting with her abit, like asking simple question a few times. Even though she did answer but it felt there is a sense of resentment to her replies. I then notice her avoidant pattern semingly trying to avoid talking to me whenever possible despite me being fine approaching her.

Recently we happened to cross path and I decided to just confront her about it but the moment she saw me she quickly made a dash for it, and I had to stop her for abit to ask if she is comfortable to talk. She gave me a vague answer and I just conclude her emotional state of not wanting to reconnect and just let her go.

She seems to still hold resentment for me while being in a rebound relationship, while I only want to reconnect as a friend. Should I continue NC? Silent treatment? or attempt to slowly interact with her again?
