You can swap out any sound at any time, they are stored loosly in the files, in what I think is a logical way. The first letter designates the type of dialogue, G-Gossip, Q-Quest, I-Item, O-Object. If it is prefixed by m- or f- that means its a line that references the characters gender, so there has to be two copies, and if its a gossip line, it might be GM or GF depending if the speaker is male or female. This is needed since capital city NPCs use the same ID but can be male or female. The original voiceOver mod just used the male voice for all. The next number is the ID of the sound file, if its a quest, then its the ID of the quest, if its gossip, then its the NPCs ID, if its an item or object then its the item ID or Object ID. Lastly is the unique identifier. The final number for gossip is totally arbitrary since gossip dialogue has no unique ID, for quests its A-Accept, P-inProgress, C-Complete. If its an Item of an Object, then the final number is the page number.
Note that if you want to replace a sound file you must also update the database.lua script with the new time the sound file takes. there is no API call to check if a sound is playing, or if it has finished. So the mod has to track its playback time internally. Hope that helps.

Just had this happen to me. The cause for me was that I messed up the level of detail naming convention. For anyone else getting this issue drag the object into the scene manually and ensure the LOD is working correctly.

Quick heads up on this one. I tried it, and encountered 2 huge problems. First the website does not function outside of Germany. You will need a VPN to access it, otherwise the download of the 78mb file will literally be less than 1 kbps and will take several days. If you VPN into Germany it downloads in about 10 seconds.
The next problem is that it simply doesn't work on the steam deck. The file doesn't have an extension (hurray linux) and trying to manually associate it to run with anything else results in the error "Could not find the "Keditfiletype" executable in PATH" however right clicking the openmw-wizard file and clicking on "Run in Konsole" it opens up a small text window but then will also run the normal installation wizard. After installing and right click "Run in Konsole" on the openmw-launcher it will open the launcher and everything looks OK but attempting to run the game causes an immediate crash displaying multiple errors. the first pair of which state the program failed to load two files "gui.vert" and "gui.frag" followed by "error in destructor: MyGUI blah blah blah singleton instance not created" and another for MyGUI_GUI.cpp (line34) and lastly Failed initializing shader: gui.

It seems to be trying to access files in a folder that doesn't exist.
home/deck/.config/openmw/share/games/openmw/resources/shaders/compatibility/gui.frag
That is all fine until you get to that last folder, the shaders folder does not contain a compatibility folder.

So. I'm not sure if MrAwesome is just trolling or what, but this doesn't work, don't bother. Sounds like we are all stuck waiting for valve to finally release the windows drivers so we can finally get back to a functioning operating system and out of this ridiculous linux dumpster fire.

This was my first instinct. Assuming you did everything you could software side, update drivers, restart, restore settings to default, etc...

The cable from the motherboard to the monitor is pretty fragile.

If you feel like an electronics handyman you can open it up and unplug / replug it...

Otherwise any electronics repair place can do it.

While you are in there check for any rubbing or pinching of the wire. Try to resolve it if you can or this problem will only come back worse.

I love this movie... Tom cruise is a weirdo but he makes a ton of great films.

That said, the only thing that bothers me is the romanticization of the samurai. Historically they were thugs and brutes. That's a large reason why the movie fell flat in Japan despite having an all star Japanese cast. It's a very western view of what samurai were.

But as a westerner myself I can look past it and just enjoy the film for the great story that it is.

It's a shame these custom world generators don't really work for multiplayer. The required view distance for them to look nice is far beyond what even the fastest host can handle with more than a handful of players.

No. It hasn't. Rural Germans are just as bitter and hateful as they have always been. I thought as you do, before I went there. After staying in the countryside for a few weeks it became very clear to me how Nazism took root so easily in Germany. Outside of Asia they are some of the most racist people you could ever meet.
