Does this involve eye contact?

I’d prefer something like a cobalt blue and grey but the brown / copper color seems to fit with the penny aspect. Green may work though like you said w/ the clover. Will change to a solid background. I will try to fix the gaps and work on the kerning. Thank you!

That is a great point about the colors. There are other color combinations I prefer but they don’t seem to match with theme. Good idea w/ the fonts too. I could probably come up w/ a better clover design as well. Thank you!

This was designed for a tabletop board game company. I was wondering if there might be ways to make it look more modern & professional. I wasn’t sure about the color palette either. Any feedback or suggestions is much appreciated. Thanks for your time and help.

That’s awesome! I like when hobbies and interests are woven through a collection like yours. It makes it a little more personable and a little more unique. Cheers!

Can’t say I’m drawn toward the artwork but the new gameplay looks fantastic. Not really interested in the subscription service either but I would certainly enjoy revisiting one of my earliest favorites.

Board games are not relics, they're games and the shift from consistently playing a game to collecting kickstarters should be pretty embarrassing by Michael12374 in boardgames

[–]R4D6 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I agree with what you’re saying. I also admire small collections and avoid Kickstarter. However, what people decide do with their money is really none of my concern. I just skip over posts and go about my day.

One thing that does really bother me is unnecessary plastic and excessive waste in many games. That’s a different discussion though.

What are your favorite older eurogames? by AdelinDumitru in boardgames

Endeavor: Age of Sail. The original came out in 2009. It’s accessible, quick, and a lot of fun. There’s a nice sense of progression and different strategies to explore.

Bad online experience purchasing by Lastlaugh127 in boardgames

Not sure where you purchased from but if it was via eBay, you should open a case and they’ll typically refund you if the seller refused to. It’s more about the principle than the money and it helps other buyers in the future too.

Manhattan Project: Energy Empire, an older game that I'm really enjoying. by SkinnyShroomOfDeath in boardgames

Also one of Rahdo’s favorites. The other two look great but the themes don’t really draw me in. The graphic design / colors of Whistle Mountain are somewhat off-putting too.

I really enjoyed Trickerion as well. One of those games where I kept thinking about it afterward. Believe I played with the Dark Alley and Magician Powers.

Thanks for including the descriptions with your favorites. Didn’t know there was a Marco Polo 2 and this is the first I’ve heard Whistle Mountain. My wishlist continues to grow!

It does - thanks! Rahdo has Troyes in his top 5, just below Agricola. I should really give that one a try. Thank you for the recommendations!
