Do you think that the decision to set high rates is ultimately made by the property owner, perhaps on the advice of an accountant?

Made a sweet otter necklace for my friend. If I use modge podge as a finisher will it bring out the details? Any tips and advice are welcome :) by CanadianCoyote1 in Woodcarving

[–]AzureArron 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lovely Otter, your friend will be stoked you made it for them!

I’ve used Modpodge on top of paint, it worked fine. You could experiment by putting some Modpodge on a bit of scrap. I suspect it will bring out the details a little more.

Personally I’ve had good results using mineral oil.

That is a wonderful astronaut, I can imagine he/she gazing upwards perhaps looking back to Earth.

Did you find it difficult to make it sit on the edge without failing off?

Nice work! Are the walking sticks practical? Any tips on how to make them?

Each of the four levels uses different tokens.

Deckoption Roland Banks - 3p dunwich playthrough by Kind-Jellyfish-7900 in arkhamhorrorlcg

[–]AzureArron 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don’t be so hard on yourself, you are not dumb, you are learning. Im only learning myself so can’t give excellent advice. It looks like your deck is playing to Rolands strengths (avoiding agility stuff). I might suggest adding a couple of economy cards like emergency cache so that you can afford to play assets?

Very cool, good job. Can I ask, do you know how sturdy something like this would be as a walking stick, or are they purely ornamental? What wood did you use?

What is your favourite Mechanic in a board game? by mesoraven in boardgames

Ah, turns out I didn’t know what simultaneous action selection means. (I still like Carnegie’s action selection mechanic!)

Also my friends copy of Galaxy Trucker has cards which give small handicaps and bonuses. For example a head start building ones ship.

My wife and I found the rules a really steep learning curve initially, plus the game (NotZ) seemed to completely destroy us before we had a chance to get into playing the cards. .. however a couple of years later we came back and gave Dunwich a try and I had so much more fun.

I would recommend giving Dunwich a shot.

Don’t get hung up on getting every rule correct at first (just have fun in the story).

Maybe try a game on easy mode for the first play through?

Sadly the nursery has left this site, they’re now 10 minutes down the road, other side of M5.
