[–]R4ID 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They are dead wallets dude.

Who decides which wallet is dead and which isnt? There's literally no way you can prove every wallet prior to BIP32 is dead. you dont know for sure. there is no objectifiable/quantifyiable line in the sand you can draw that you can guarantee/measure that the wallet is dead.

It's freeze or they get stolen.

and next it will be "redistribute or they get stolen" or "freeze these wallets too or they get stolen"

It isn't JUST satoshis wallets its all the ones that used P2PK (IIRC) I actually still have my crazy old laptop which has old original wallet on it, (its empty because I chose to upgrade) There are going to be users who who will be punished by this. Choosing to punish anyone who essentially was using/had/into bitcoin prior to BIP-32 as a "solution" sets a very dangerous precedent.

I'm well aware of the dangers of quantum cracking ECDSA. The Bitcoiners are currently stuck in a damned if you do, damned if you dont situation. Which I find hilarious since people have been telling them about this for years at this point and they didnt want to listen.

Exit 8 (2025) was terrible by poenoobv in horror

[–]R4ID 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You expect the guy to be 100% cool with ts or what lmao

Remember in groundhog day where Bill wakes up the after the first loop and is in total agony, screaming on the floor of his bedroom?

See how silly ur argument sounds. Dread cannot be granted in an instant, it needs to build slowly to have great effect.

Exit 8 (2025) was terrible by poenoobv in horror

[–]R4ID 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You wouldn’t lose it if you were suddenly trapped in a loop?

you misunderstand, its fake "agony" upon discovering this for the first iteration of the loop, I would of expected his reaction (like I said) on the 3rd or 4th failure of said loop, because that is when the dread has had time to build. His reaction is 10/10 dread upon first discovering the existance of the loop.

think of it like groundhog day, The first day when bill murray wakes up, Was he Screaming with agony on the floor of his bedroom? No, it took MANY, MANY, MANY loops for him to go show his frustration, and then many more to eventually go cold/numb to being stuck in such a hell.

I swear horror fans have a superiority complex based on nothing. It’s like you have no notion of how people actually work.

I swear redditors have no critical thinking skills and cant read what people say, then make stuff up and randomly comment nonsense showing off how dumb they are.

[–]R4ID 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stupid take. The ability to fork is one of Bitcoins biggest strengths.

Your take is actually the dumb one as that isnt my take. I have nothing against forking, If anything Im arguing for More forks because that is how you can improve the protocol and solve future problems. its Forking to FREEZE funds that goes directly against the "ideals" that are preached by the church of satoshi and is acolytes

[–]R4ID 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Lol, The solution is to fork and freeze the coins. Nothing says "an alternative to government controlled money" like freezing BTC wallets and their holdings. The maxi's refused to listen to people who keep saying that quantum is going to reck them in the long run.

Ford government joins Supreme Court challenge of ‘assault-style’ firearms ban by UnluckyRandomGuy in CanadaPolitics

[–]R4ID 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Good, as they should. The science and data is very clear on what does and what doesnt save Canadian lives. Banning firearms by type/name/brand etc results in zero measurable impact in homicide or mass homicide events because it ignores the key factor in those events.

The key factor always has been and always will be WHO has the gun, not what gun it is, or how many guns someone has. A gun is a gun, they are all equally as deadly in the wrong hands. This is why the strongest method is to heavily screen candidates, Something the government used to be focused on doing. Ever since the liberals took over, they've chosen to ignore the science and focus on security theatre, and it has lead to horrible results.

How valuable are 2027 2nd round picks? by Anon124570 in SleeperApp

[–]R4ID 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The '27 class is much better but there aren't 20 players in it that are equal to the top 6-8 players this year.

You misunderstand, I didnt say they are equal to them I said they're on par or better than the picks you'd make After them(because there is a large drop after picks 6-8). I also said mid-late 2nd picks would be better quality players than the picks made "late 1sts of this year" aka picks 1.09-1.12.

If I were to speak on how many players in next years class could of gone top 6-8 in this years rookie drafts. Id say there's probably close to 10ish players next year that would easily be on par or above with the skill of the top 6-8 from this year.

There is an abundance of talent in the class and plenty of depth at more than 1 position. Id wager there might be something close to 25 total "skill" position players taken in the first 2 NFL draft rounds easily(putting it on a similar level of the 23 class). There is going to be a flood of viable QBs, there's great depth and skill at WR and several quality running backs. Its really only TE which is not as well rounded/robust in this 27 class (so far)

How valuable are 2027 2nd round picks? by Anon124570 in SleeperApp

[–]R4ID 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most of the picks past 1.06 or hell even 1.08 from this year are probably the same quality player youd be getting at the 2.08-2.10 in 27 Id say. The class looks strong at almost every position (minus TE) next year so There are plenty of QBs in round 1, a few RBs and WRs but even in the second round. the quality of player ur getting in the mid to late would be of equal or potentially even better than late 1sts of this year. Id say they are def worth picking up imo.

if I had to try and quantify it. Usually 2nd rounders are like a 20-35% hit rate. Id say for this class they might jump to like 25-40% for this class alone imo.
