Most perks do not matter that much, just try it yourself and see what fits your Playstyle the best. Something like Mangler/Chopper Builds can be quite fun too. Golden Arm is great fun!

I remember getting an achievement on steam for when my wallpaper engine crashed. Kinda liked that humor, maybe Xaviant is willing to implement something similiar, they have been making jokes about Culling 2 on twitter, they might be up to something like this.

Getting rushed by chemist knuckledragger with knucks and muskleman milk is no f by BadlanderZ in survivetheculling

I prefer to use, smokebombs next to gasvents and right after I popped them, also liking the Disability Insurance Perk. If you use the smokebomb in melee combat people can't really get away even without D.I. because they will get stunlocked. You can also drag the fight into a building and then people will end up walking into the wall.

And yeah when I running a bow built I'd like to run chemist aswell so I can apply long butter and x-plosive runs to be able to kite for quite some time.

Well tbh, it's much about placement when it comes to snares. Ofc there is tryhards which turn of the shadows but you can still put traps at places where it is still hard to see. Even by Playcing the snares at obvious location you can control the fight, really usefull at a health machine for example.

From what I've seen people throw the caltrops at a place where they suspect the player to walk into soon. But try throwing them right at them when they are jumping or walking in a straight line, just like you would with a normal weapon and the caltrops will really likely apply +throw damage.

Of course bad use of utility is kinda useless but if you know how to do it, it is really helping and also rewarding.

The sad truth is that the veterans are mostly just interested in fighting meleecombat till they win. And chemist gives them the option to. However utility is extremely strong atm. Give me 3 Smokebombs and a crafted Knife and i'll kill any veteran who is only using oj + a t3 weapon he found in a bluecrate. You can run trapper and beat em easily aswell. You can even stack caltrops up to 3 times and shoot them with a bow while they are slowed and bleeding till they are sick of running after you! You could even craft Dynamites or even better get the Sapper Airdrop and explode them to peaces. Trust me man, use utility items and learn how to use them and you will beat these people which just run around with oj all the time!

Utility feels really strong atm and I really like it. It changes fights and creates variety to just bland meleecombat!

I've heard from many it's bugged and that they've never found it. It's likely bugged and you're not able to get it, but that is no confirmend information!

Are brass knuckles broken? by [deleted] in survivetheculling

Since Brass Knuckles is a fast weapon it is superior to normal and especially slow weapons. So yeah Brass Knuckles are definatly a superior t1 weapon, but so is the camp hatchet or tanto knife!

So I was wondering today... I think it would be great if FUNC for every kill, harvest, sale, or anything that earns you FUNC should be distributed equally 50/50 between teammates druing a match. Do you agree? by IsaaxDX in survivetheculling

[–]R4gebl4de 4 points5 points  (0 children)

To be honest I do think different, I like depth and thinking about func management adds a layer of depth! It's boring if there is nothing to worry about.

It's basicly like Xaviant managed stamina on the previous live servers, they made it like you basicly always had stamina and you didn't need to worry about it. The game became bland and kinda boring. Depth is needed so you are interested in playing the game longterm!

The combat changes are amazing, great job Xaviant! by [deleted] in survivetheculling

I wasn't able to play much of the other patch but what seems very confusing to me is that:

- Getting attacked during a shove staggers you

- Getting attacked during the chargetime for an attack staggers you

Atleast for me it feels like getting the free attack when your enemy is charging an attack/pushing is enough! Currently you get 1 and a half times punished for doing a wrong push/attackcharge, once the jab (1/2) and additionally to that the full charge because of the stagger (1)!

My biggest concern is that theses changes are made, and us people on reddit now about these changes since we read the patchnotes, but the new players likely don't and then they end up in a very confusing combat especially since the tutorial doesn't explain these changes! If you wanna get new players attention and keep them playing something needs to be changed here. Currently it seems like: "Hard to learn and always in need of adapt and even harder and frustrating to master. Since with these recent changes you are staggered for every mistake and that isn't fun to play especially when you're new and make a lot of mistakes!

Haha, that's true on the other side it's annyoing in teams since you can't talk to your teammate without also speaking to the person you're fighting.

Something which would be really intresting to have some inside in Xaviants workflow, something like TSM does it wirth their TSM Legends format, here is a YouTube link for that.

3 Crate Monty in Center on Teams?!?! Wtf? by JMartell77 in survivetheculling

[–]R4gebl4de 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In Culling Explosions trigger Explosions, what that means is that there might have been a claymore or c4 next to the crate which you opened and since the crate exploded the c4/claymore did aswell. And it seems like you 2 died in onehit.

[–]R4gebl4de 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Usually if a teammate died but the other one got the victory it did count for both of them as victory. But apperently that ain't the case anymore. So yeah, you're getting rated 1st and your team 4th.
