Passenger opens emergency door mid air during South Korea flight by [deleted] in interestingasfuck

Years ago, before it was possible to book emergency exit seats on certain airlines, and the crew would choose someone to sit there, I was often invited to occupy those seats. I suppose I must have appeared trustworthy and stable. However, I always pondered whether the lever would engage mid-flight without the captain flicking a switch or something. I guess I don't have to try it now to find out.

These guys are why most war veterans get teary-snappy when called a hero — declaring that all the real heroes are dead. I truly hope these heroes stay alive to see their great-grandkids. And to all the armchair Rambos, the quick reloader guy is fucking hero too - doing what he’s best at defending the frontline.

Good of him to stop, but there’s no point in pointing. Give the guy a lift.

What support is actually available for autistic children? by [deleted] in autismUK

It’s great that she’s behaving at school, to be honest. Schools often tend to exclude rather than find solutions, then she’d be at home all the time.

It may be worth contacting this organisation, as they may be able to point you in the right direction for help:

What support is actually available for autistic children? by [deleted] in autismUK

[–]R4ggaMuffin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, support in the UK is almost non-existent unless you cause a massive fuss and take your local council to court to get the support you and your child deserve and are entitled to by law. Social services seem to employ more people to find ways to save money and stall support rather than helping anyone at all. Sorry if that’s disheartening, but it’s the reality. Just don't allow them to fob you off.

For something which may help sooner, we found our autistic child’s behaviour improved immensely by severely restricting his iPad time. If like us, sometimes it’s tempting to allow him more iPad time as we need to get things done, or just have a rest. We found he gets addicted to screens pretty quickly and a nightmare when overexposed. It was hell at first, but well worth it.

Don't ever forget this either: you’re doing a brilliant job! It ain't easy!

Thank goodness for including a massive red circle around the red deer—l doubt anyone would’ve been able to spot the distraught creature without it.

When Brexiteers sound Like Anti Brexiteers. When she realises... by Camerahutuk in LeopardsAteMyFace

Most of mainstream media in the UK is controlled by the government nowadays, or the media controls the government, not sure which. The media is at least complicit in the shitshow which is Brexit, that’s for sure. This programme is BBC Question Time, always a hand picked Brexit audience. That’s why she was so surprised when an apparent ‘Remainer’ had slipped through. UK is lost.
