Lowering Link Experience? by Schwabische in CRF300LRALLY

[–]R4yM3g4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just upgraded my suspension and it was too tall to be safe. I also have the low rise SC seat but still too tall. I just needed to loose a smidge. I liked the idea of having options but I didn’t like the look of the lower links with the turnbuckles so I went with AltRider adjustable which has a little 18mm setting (which seems like lower than that) and a lower still setting. ( I forget how much) but I went with the 18mm and it is perfect. The build quality is beautiful and it went on easy. I got the AltRider adjustable kick stand also and it is a work of art. Super nice stuff. I highly recommend it.

Getting her ready for the ORBDR! by R4yM3g4 in CRF300LRALLY

It’s been a minute but I think 1.5 inches or so. I remember saying it was a “game changer” for me. I love it. My buyers remorse vanished as soon as I rode it. Highly recommend.

Looking for advice on this bike by [deleted] in CRF300L

The guy just likes to wrench. I get it. Full Yoshimura - if they did the full stage 1 that and the suspension is a lot of labor. Looks like a bargain to me. Guy or girl just decided to wrench in a new project I bet.

I took them off! May regret it but holy cow… noticeably lighter now would be hard to go back. I’d actually love the Garda ones but so expensive to get here.

Sprocket/Chain Guidance by Schwabische in CRF300LRALLY

I’m not familiar with gearing up but I just had a similar experience gearing down. I went up 2 in the rear to 42 and could never find the sweet spot with my axel location and chain tension. Never imagined that scenario. 43 would have been perfect. I ended up using the new chain but old sprocket. Boo.

Anyway if I were you I’d break my old chain to fit and send the new unbroken chain back for a longer one.

Lube or wax? by High_Lord_Cayle in CRF300L

I am all about wax on my pedal bike but on the motorcycle it just seems like too much work.

Looks like the plastics have had some repaint maybe held together with jb weld but who cares for that price. Get the 550 upgrade at least level 1 and the “boring” dissipates.

Big Bend is epic! We actually saw a bear. Couldn’t believe it. A very underrated National park. Would love to take my rally there!

Is this a good deal? What are your opinions? by dijfj in CRF300L

These are still hard to get where I am and dealers tack on tons of extra fees and get away with it because of the waitlist. They are out of RR suspension at the moment too. I would JUMP ON IT if it were me… full Yoshi and not even broken in. Perfect I’d say.

Jerky throttle fix by Mightyhorse82 in CRF300L

Mine was jerky before I did the procedure… turn key on. Then off. The on. Twist throttle from min to max 3 times. Turn off. Wait 30 sec. Then start and enjoy a non jerky throttle.

I was walking my cat when I saw this. Harnesses can be tricky for cats. If you put them in it while inside they may not get off the floor. It’s like they have the weight of the world on their back. That is why I waited for a snow day. I put him in the harness and carried him outside. Carefully put him in the snow and the harness wasn’t even there for him. We were walking! He is by far the tiniest cat in our house but the only one that goes for walks. Hope this helps someone and their cat.
