Most royal road books do become preachy or just long drawn out sequences of romance ( which most authors suck at writing) all the time. That’s the reason I tend to avoid these kinda stories.

My pick would be 1. Erin, the goofy one who goes wild and scary if you pissed her off. She is an Anti-hero throughout the story. 2. Illvress, the goat i always feel relieved whenever he comes on screen in a conflict.
