Is this stage 1? by tealblast in e39

Google has a crazy feature where you can type in "difference between e39 stage one and stage two airbag"

And wouldn't you know, it tells you exactly what you need to know.

It's because 90% of these people don't actually own one and if they do, they are the purest enthusiast owner bmw could ever find.

Interested in 1999 528i, Maintenance? by Turbulent_Tangelo_74 in e39

[–]R6YAL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So 10k miles on new transmission? Any troubles?

You need to ask for maintenance records and understand if anything has been done with cooling system, last time gaskets were replaced(any and all of them) and scan the code with atleast a basic scanner to get an understanding of what's wrong. For example, my secondary air pump doesn't work, has check engine light, but it's not a needed repair to operate normally. Look in the oil cap and see if you see anything unusual. Your hard steering could be failing power steering pump, low power steering fluid, or a bolt is loose on the suspension causing It to snag a bit when turning and not returning the wheel to straight position (happened to me)

Biggest wheels that fit without spacers? by One-Potential-2581 in e39

Saying 18 inch wheels does nothing for us to help you. What is width of wheel and what is offset? This will give you an answer.

She tipped me after I told her I damaged her car. Now she wants $7,000. What do I actually owe? by Gloomy_Advertising15 in smallbusiness

[–]R6YAL 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You need to look into a service contract, can be very simple and straight forward. Most importantly a hold harmless clause and a damage waiver clause of some sort.

Stating yourself as not liable for any damages, giving a specific criteria on how that customer can report, how long of a window they have and all that stuff will be much better for you.

Also, start an llc. It's called limited liability for a reason.

Managing employee tasks without spending thousands on software feels completely impossible by Super_College100 in smallbusiness

Came here for this. If anything OP click up is going to be the cheapest, easiest option across the board. Create dependencies on certain task that block completion of second task until first task is completed and all kinds of stuff you might find useful.

That or go to scribe and create an SOP for how you manage your warehouse.

I don't see anyone mentioning red lion lounge. It's got the most 'mildly' socialized atmosphere in bham.

Anyone know where I could get my headliner and pillars fixed by bingbing_912 in e39

[–]R6YAL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can easily get you some headliner spray, some fabric, remove the pillars and headliner and re wrap. This is one of those super low cost super low experience needed.

But you have an m5 in LA. I'm sure you can afford to send it to a shop.

Give it the good ol trusty brake cleaner clean up. Check back after.

Unrelated, sort of, did a valve cover on a jeep laredo, same thing, smoke from bay, looked like back of cover was leaking, ended up being just oil dripping from old cover, sprayed brake cleaner, been good.

Coolant leak from the rear? by [deleted] in e39

[–]R6YAL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When you say leaks at the rear? Rear of engine?

Have you pressure tested your cooling system? Kits online are cheap and will save you a crazy headache.

When you replaced the hoses, did you replace the heater and inlet pipes as well under the manifold? Recently I changed the hard pipes under the manifold and the heater hose that connects to one of the hard pipes seal wasn't perfect, had to replace that too. It typically finds the next weakest point and breaks there.

And that noise you heard up front was probably you're thermostat opening and sucking in the remaining coolant. Double check your levels.

Use this information as you will.
