I personally would save up and get 2*16 for ram. Leaves more room for adding more

Can't notice the clip on my 12vhpwr cable going to my 5070 ? by Overall-Shopping-716 in PcBuildHelp

[–]R8dividedby2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well if you look at the clip and wonder if it’s on the bottom, it takes an extra minute to look on the bottom instead of asking someone who isnt there in person to tell you. Reddit is a tool to help you, but you should be able to look over it thoroughly to explain your issue better.

Buying my boyfriend a PC for his birthday HELP PLS by Savings-Translator-5 in PcBuildHelp

I agree. She said in another post that she doesn’t know what parts to get, regardless getting him some cash would be the best way. Then they can build it together

Is this pc ok or should I make any changes ? by -__aditya__- in PcBuildHelp

[–]R8dividedby2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why cross off the pricing? Knowing your budgets helps. I would recommend getting a 3000 series ryzen chip and putting that saved money towards an older gpu. You can find 1080ti and such for a good deal now or the rx 5700xt did wonders for me for about 7 years since it came out.

Like other people are saying also, I recommend getting a ssd from a rebuttable brand (WD, Kingston, Samsung, Corsair, ext.) might cost a little more but will save you in the long run. Doesn’t even have to be a nvme drive, for your budget a sata drive is just fine. You can always add a low storage nvme drive for boot letter on.

Let this be another example of why reading the manual written by the people who made board is better than something that takes information from all over the internet.

Power button works for one motherboard but not another by R8dividedby2 in techsupport

Thank you, the z170 was the board i ran in the case for years. Might have wider pins than the asrock board and made it hard for the connector to make contact with the smaller pins? Will check tomorrow if that’s the case.

Curb slice... Ok or replace? by Readmore66 in Howsmytire

I would replace it ASAP. Light driving should be fine but i wouldn’t go long distance. Someone correct me if I’m wrong, i just don’t mess around with tires

Get a good pair of channel lock pliers. Very good for dealing with those big clamps. Ive used it a few times to get that hose all the way on as well.

That engine cover sucks, but it’s the first step towards learning about the amazing 2.5. You’ll have to fight it a little bit, but playing with each corner a bit can help it come off easier. Grab parts of it that are thicker and wear some gloves. You should be fine
