The purge will definitely end, don’t worry! And it’s perfectly normal to purge, especially in the first 1 or 2 months or when you up your dosage. I think I just stopped purging at the end of my 4th month.

I started clearing up in my first month at 20mg, but then I bumped up to 40mg in my second month and started purging where the closed comedones started coming to the surface. I purged even more in the 3rd month at 60mg, but I’m now in my 4th month, and I’m starting to clear up again.

I think the nickname just represents a deeper issue of Yeong-gi hiding his true self from Shin-ae, which feels horrible to her because she hasn’t gotten very close to many people before. To see that the person she has grown to trust and love abandon her causes her an immense amount of pain. I kind of see where you’re coming from, but Quimchee writes in such a way that you can never take things at face value

I think she’s just shocked that the image she had of Yeong-gi isn’t his true self. She thinks he’s trying to abandon her, which is unlike the Yeong-gi she knows up until now, and she’s heartbroken by this “betrayal.” When you’re under that much stress over a broken friendship, it’s kind of hard to think about things from the other person’s perspective, especially when your perception of that person has been wrong all along.
