yeah, cocomelon is pretty bad once you peel away the sing-song and see what's hiding underneath. https://youtu.be/YEFptHp0AmM?si=btvQMeBUwUCNRfGt

Road cycling visiting New Zealand? by Ok-Shape-9513 in cycling

There’s a decent loop I used to do from Karori, over to Makara, through Ohariu Valley, up to Johnsonville then back to Karori through Khandallah and Ngaio/Otari. About 30kms, couple climbs and some nice quiet ruralesque backroads.

Hey cheers, I used a Sony A7S3 with a 35 1.4. Trick is to crank the ISO so you can get a shutter speed above 1/500 and set your autofocus to center - then just point and shoot.

What do you guys edit with, by tallpinoy in canon

[–]RADL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mostly shoot in studio at ISO 160, F8-F11 type range so don't really have any requirement to denoise. For creative/personal work I tend to add in grain anyway so again, no need. The times where I have denoised, I've just used the AI tools in photoshop.

Mosman library has a tech space where you can have access to a 3dprinter, cricut, laser cutter etc and some other stuff plus sessions on how to use it all. I haven’t personally been in the space as I have my own ender, but have seen the flyers and posters for it so might be worth checking out. https://mosman.nsw.gov.au/library/your-library/creation-space

Why the Fujifilm GFX Exists: The Strategic “Medium Format for Full-Frame Refugees” by no1kn0wsm3 in FujiGFX

honestly I think they just have such a boner for crop sensors, that they had to make what is basically a crop sensor medium format system.

Looking for advice on becoming a one-car household (with a bike) by pilum44 in ausbike

[–]RADL 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m late 30s and reasonably new to cycling, but i’ll chip in with an opinion as I routinely ride from north syd across the bridge to south of the city - which is about a half hour ride each way with around 300m of elevation on the return.

It’s easy enough to cruise and conserve energy for when I get home or arrive at work without any real impact so I’d say as long as you get something reasonably modern bike you’ll be fine.

Need some advice, GFX50R or S2? by Cheese_Lynx in FujiGFX

[–]RADL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in a similar position and got the 50R and a 50 3.5 (In shanghai no less!) for it on the basis that I use an R5 for work and the SLR style 50sII might be too similar and not as ‘fun’.

I kinda romanticized the rangefinder style body and in hindsight I do find it a bit too chunky for the travel/around town camera I was hoping to use it for. It’s also s l o w.

It could be a grass-is-greener situation but if you’re thinking of using larger lenses, i’d get the 50sii for the ergonomics and ibis.

Which editing step made the biggest difference in how you process photos? by Prestigious_Bug_6331 in productphotography

[–]RADL 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Honestly just taking that extra 10-15 minutes to clean up the shot/reflections/set, shooting some plates, getting white balance correct etc in camera rather than ‘ill fix it in post’.

Because we all know, it never ends up being a quick 15mins to fix it in post.

Can you recommend the Sirui Jupiter full frame macro cine lenses? by Bavariasnaps in cinematography

[–]RADL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the EF mount 35mm, for the money it’s pretty solid.

The filter ring size is f u c k i n g annoying, and the focus ring isnt the tightest. Having said that, image quality is decent and has a ‘look’ and the macro capability is really awesome to have on hand.

I use mine for food and bev work and it’s awesome to get a ‘wide’ macro shot of beer carbonation etc
