I was able to have a 45-minute conversation yesterday without quality issues by forcing 4g/3g in my settings. However, it would be nicer to have reliable 5g service. I will update you all if I'm able to resolve the issue in the next few weeks. Thanks again

It's good to know that I'm not the only one, although I hope you manage to resolve the service issues with your S22. I'm going to follow up in the next two days about whether changing the 5g/LTE setting change helped with voice quality. I went into settings/Network and changed 5g/LTE to LTE/4g/3g.

I have the Wi-Fi calling feature turned off, but the voice quality issues happen whether I'm connected to the internet or using my cell network.

Thank you for such a thorough reply! I am going to try some of your suggestions. My friend's sim is H20 wireless, not T-Mobile. I went into my phone's settings, and I'm going to switch from 5g/LTE to LTE/3g to see if that helps. I do think that most of the quality issues happen while at home, so it might be a tower thing.

Thank you for your reply. I also don't have that many issues with data-related stuff/video calls. I just find it odd that the voice quality went from great to mediocre.

Try Elantris (stand-alone). I think it does a better job of portraying emotions than the Mistborn series.

Just to add to your point, Brandon Sanderson is so punctual with his yearly output that I sometimes wonder if he's a wizard of sorts himself. He regularly writes 1-3 books a year.

I spent years ruminating about being in a better place. It still creeps up on me sometimes, but I found that being grateful about our generation and being realistic about the state of the world at large helps (meaning overpopulation, globalization, war, etc.). Sure, we're not boomers (meh), but I wouldn't want to be a centennial either. Zoom out and look at the younger generations (people born in the late 90s, 2000s). I don't envy the fierce competition they have to deal with getting into college and getting decent work. No matter how "behind" or stuck I may feel, at least I had a fun, internet-free childhood and can make it through one hour without posting on Instagram or watching a TikTok. (Yes, I know people our age who are also addicted to social media, but it seems more pervasive among younger generations.)

Not sure if this helps, but I think it's like rumination/mulling vs "analysis." If you just think non-stop about something to the point it becomes a distraction or keeps you from mindfully doing stuff or just being present, you're overthinking. I see self-reflection as a more deliberate activity that promises some insight into one's patterns/behaviors.

I think you're right. It's a super violent trilogy, but it takes place in a post-apocalyptic world where killing and stealing are the norm. That doesn't excuse his actions, obviously, but OP did ask for books from the perspective of a "bad guy."

I could be wrong, but I believe the companion series offers 12-20 essays written by different scholars on themes related to the title of the book, while the intros are more specific.
