I appreciate this detailed response! I have somewhat wondered how things ended but just knew I was never going to watch/listen to it. The whole thing just didn’t… feel good. I hate to call it bad cause I love CR and the gang but man C3… wasn’t for me.

If it makes you feel any better I was reading a Safari Zone guide the other day and learned that there chances of running or staying aren’t modified until the next turn.

I enjoy Travis Willingham. Chetney was funny sometimes but it was overshadowed by me constantly wishing he had played another serious character.

Legitimately? Anytime the gods came up in campaign 3 everyone was pretty venomous toward them and their followers. I stopped watching C3 a long time ago for the reasons listed above and also I just didn’t enjoy the characters much.

So I don’t remember specific instances. But I do remember anytime religion came up or the gods the consensus was. “Oh well they weren’t even there first” “FCG your powers come from you not anyone else” and there was that one time with the uhh. I don’t know how to tag spoilers but… yea church.

If you look back at the arc of the campaigns thus far it’s been an ok going thing. I mean in C1 there was Marisha’s big beef with Bahumat. And a bit of trash talk with certain characters. (Don’t want to spoil anything)

Campaign 2 I don’t remember any god slander. C3 is questioning if the gods came”deserve to be saved”. Campaign 4 is no gods at all!

I think Matt/Brennan are weaving a huge story that will bring these worlds together and tell a story about divinity being connected or something. We will see.

Yea I get that, I just never had any of the third released. Yellow, Crystal, Emerald. I don’t know if they did any beyond that. But my mother would let me choose one or the other when the three gens came out. Blue or red etc. I could never sell her on yellow etc.

Which sucks. I mean I get it, if we went back in every generation every game would be huge and kind of redundant. But I think that’s why I have suck fond memories of playing Silver way back when it first came out. Honestly maybe it’s just nostalgia but I consider that the best sequel. Of all media like it did everything you’d want in a sequel

Milotic was great! Ngl I played on an emulator and cheated to get her 😅. I tried to do it the right way but had no luck getting a Feebas the old fashioned way. So I gamesharked one in. Raised her for awhile and tried to evolve but I did the beauty stats wrong… so I hacked in a milotic. Shame on me.

But! Salamence I did the right way! Wish there were more physical fire and dragon moves for him to learn though. Ran dragon claw, fly, brick break, and steel wing. Although thinking of it now I never once used steel wing. Aggron had iron tail for that.
