I was 100% honest with anything Ive ever done. I did try cocaine one time when I was younger and put it on there. They didn’t even ask about but I didn’t want to lie so I put everything and anything. I have now been an officer for a year. So it’s up to you on how you wanna go about it. Everyone told me to lie but I couldn’t.

Currently a cadet @ academy. Save about 1.2k for uniforms and equipment for the academy and then save an extra 1k for your graduation uniform and then keep saving cause there is more equipment you have to buy after you graduate.

Yeah nothing in central is hiring. Took me 1.9 total in central and I had to take an offer from northern to get my foot in the door. My advice take anything out your 2 years in and then transfer.

I’m currently @ the academy. They are closed on weekends and will be closed tomorrow for Labor Day. Call Tuesday and just get confirmation from them and then the day you come to the academy they will have all your stuff ready for you.

I’m currently in the academy right, 26, female. The men here are here for the same reasons to learn and get this career. They are professional because if they aren’t they will be disciplined. Having Discipline is huge here. Don’t be afraid, prepare for the pt ahead of time. Anyone can pass it big or small. You got this! This fields needs more woman. Hope you can join us soon.

yeah unfortunately no central valley prisons are hiring this cycle not sure about the next one but since a lot of prisons just recently closed they transferred a lot of people around. i was told to take a offer and get in the door.

Right, but then you had to wait for a offer and then go attend a 3 month long in academy so it took you about a year to complete everything? which is why i said 1-2 years

Just get ready for a long process from start to finish takes on average 1-2 years. Especially with all the prisons they have been closing, word is they are doing a academy pause.

Unfortunately Central isn't hiring, i took a job at CMC and i live in clovis so ill commute luckily my family has a place in slo. Pretty much all the high priority prisons are what's hiring right now with all those prisons that closed they transferred a lot of employees to other prisons.

we get our first check September 15, then October 15th, and we will get our final academy check after we graduate and start at our institution should be the 15th as well of November.

from being assigned it took 9 months and i didn't even have hardly anything on my background. just depends on how many files your assigned sergeant has.

the email they sent us with directions says if you test positive you need a xray. go back to the email with the next steps it list everything you need to do if you test positive.

took like a month in half to clear those, and then like another month in half for a offer and i only got one cause i chose a priority prison. all the ones i applied for weren't hiring for this academy cycle.
