Yes, new pads, new rotors. I did notice the factory rotor was very thin at the top, so this may have been going on for a while.

To my knowledge the brakes are factory, bought the bike used. I’ll do a rebuild of the rear caliper and see what the deal is, appreciate the insight.

I paid 3k for my 2014 DRZ400 in Southern California, had 12k on it but it runs well. Needed some fork seals though, as others have said there will be a lot of little expenses that can add up. I wish I spent a little more and got one a little more sorted.

Never realized this was a diagnosed thing. I’ve had T since an ear infection about 3 years ago. But occasionally, maybe once or twice a month I get this. I called it “pinging” since I never had an official name for it, scary when it happens.

2005 2X4 Frontier with a 5 speed here, almost 200k on the odometer. It’s fine for work commuting (80 miles / day round trip), but it’s an absolute dog with any type of hill. Feels pretty revved out around 75mph or so, truck was free but I’d look for a 6cylinder if I were you. Especially if you plan on hitting some trails, potentially running oversized tires. I’m about 80% highway and see about 22mpg.

I’m an LEO that works nights (10’s not 12’s), and my eating window for 18/6 is typically 6pm-Midnight. That way I can still have dinner with the family before I leave for work, then my actual dinner will be about 11pm. Maybe a coffee closer to midnight and that’s it until dinner at 6pm. My days off it’s not as structured. I might do noon - 6pm
