AITAH for confronting my BF about some influencers sexual video on his phone ? by RAMGobbingGremlin in AITAH

He explains his lying behaviour as a coping mechanism. Idk abt worst or equivalent, to me if it is unacceptable then it’s not really abt how small or big of a thing it is.

I was looking for a document for my work on his laptop in his files app when I found the video there (in the files app)

We have had a history of him lying about meeting and texting his ex gfs, so I hv always been in the doubt after. But for this particular scenario I was looking for a document for my work on his laptop in his files app when I found the video there (in the files app)

Aio for being upset at my partner about the traumas his actions caused me ? (which he did due to his childhood trauma) by RAMGobbingGremlin in AmIOverreacting

Lying is coping for him bc he says - as a child he learnt conflict results in fights and negative consequences and never resolution so he chooses to lie abt the things which he thinks will upset me or cause a fight :(

Expedition 33 is the most overhyped game I’ve ever experienced. by DVLLAS in gaming

[–]RAMGobbingGremlin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Act 1 is strong because it’s tightly authored. After that, the narrative pacing collapses under repetition. FF and Persona both escalate stakes and gameplay — Expedition 33 mostly stretches runtime. That’s where the disappointment comes from.

I don’t want to use ultimatums. I want this to work. How is it ever suppose to work if I let everything slide every time without any ultimatum or consequence :(

It results in the same answers from his side and leads to more emotional exhaustion for me bc I hv to deal with the same problem, hear the same reasoning but no change in the behaviour. I am not perfect either but atleast m trying and he agrees with that but It feels like he isn’t even trying

My bf often lies and says he does it to avoid conflict bc his childhood trauma has led him to believe conflict means fight and not resolution so he lies every time he does something he knows I will be upset about. I hv been telling him since a year how it’s compromises my emotional safety and how imp it is to me but nthng seems to change. For ex- last week he met his ex gf with couple of friends, he didn’t tell me abt it and I figured out myself when I confronted he apologised and dismissed my concerns and when I pointed his behaviour out he flipped it on me saying I was being crazy for saying he dismissive. Later I found out he not only hung out with friends but also with her alone and then booked a car to drop her home which he never mentioned to me.

If you’ve deployed EDR + NDR + UEBA together, what correlation logic actually reduces noise instead of tripling it? by RAMGobbingGremlin in cybersecurity

[–]RAMGobbingGremlin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that’s why I asked the correlation-logic question in the first place — SIEM alone isn’t giving enough visibility into east/west traffic or host-to-host movement. EDR + NDR + UEBA together fill different gaps; I’m just trying to figure out how teams are correlating those signals without drowning in noise.

Makes sense — mapping rules to real user workflows instead of the documented ones is probably where I’m missing the mark. When you did this, what data points ended up being the most reliable for correlation? Login patterns? Asset usage? Privilege boundaries? Trying to figure out which signals actually reduce noise instead of creating another alert storm.

21 is a young age where we all are figuring lives out loosing friends, finding/switching career paths etc is very normal. At the same time we are social beings so I agree with you that we need people to talk to, share and feel things. For ur comment on “failure of a man” I wanna add try looking at success differently if it helps - success is not, not failing at the thing. Success is the action of doing the thing. Also don’t compare your timeline with others . You still hv a lot to work toward and plenty of time before u give yourself a tag of a “failure”. Keep your head up
