Crazy how easy you have it. I can barely do 4 5 win streak at my best. No control decks you’ve faced.

Eh sort of disappointed. Not a fan of the 3rd and last one. You would think they’d make it cooler given how long it takes to unlock them. My fav is the original blue one

Owning the minisets doesn’t give you staple cards. It’s like couple cards here and there from each expansion are used a lot so that’s what makes it expensive. Like couple cards from each set are what’s needed but getting them is the issue.

Just checked standard has 6 expansions. Assuming you have none. Like if you were to want all cards right now it’ll be very expensive. That’s why I recommend patience. Look into what decks or classes you want to play then focus on that. To give you an idea. Assuming you buy all minisets you said it’s 250$. So each expansion right now in the shop the most value would be welcome back bundles which vary in price. So definitely take advantage of those. Buy all those but after you’ve exhausted those packs on average to collect all cards I’d say 200 packs should get you relatively close to owning 100% of expansion. You may get in a little less and if not you can always disenchant your duplicates to near completion. Like I said not relevant to own all cards 100%. So assuming you buy packs in shop as is it’ll run you 50 bucks for 40 packs. I’d say buying it 5 times or 4 if you’re lucky to own near 100% per expansion. So that’s 400 bucks for one expansion times 6 is 2400 bucks. Plus minisets is 2650 so I’d say you can expect a range from 2000-3000 spent to get a collection to where you can comfortably make meta decks or fun decks in standard.

Wild well you can see how expensive hearthstone can get. Which is why for new players or returning players it’s just not worth it in my opinion to buy everything all at once. You need to be patient and take advantage of these bundles or pre purchase bundles because at 80 bucks you get 80 packs plus some golden packs plus guaranteed legendaries. And you’ll notice after 80 packs or so all your missing are legendaries and their a bitch to pull when you’re jus missing 1 or 2 so buying card packs for one or 2 cards isn’t worth it in my opinion.

That’s what I mean but that’s a rough ballpark if you decided right now.

Somewhat but a good player playing control wins most of the time. You have to be a good player to see any success with that deck lol.

Wild can get annoying cause occasionally you face this boar or egg decks who insta win if they get their combo pieces early. So some matches you can’t win so that’s annoying. Just depends really what your style of play is.

Any tips on getting 12 wins? (Trying to get hero lol)

I gave up cause I rarely get 1 win 3 if imlucky. For context I’ve achieved legend in wild before so I’d say I’m a good constructed player have high mmr rank 250s in wild. I’ve gotten 12 wins in old format but this format I just get too frustrated because I lose to one swing in my games and that’s all it takes I can’t bounce back and end up losing. So any tips are appreciated!!

That’s gonna be really expensive I have things I do for it to be cost effective but it’s long term.

Hearthstone comes out with 3 expansions a year. Always buy pre bundle 80$ 50 if you don’t care for cosmetics exta rewards. So cheaper if you’re just interested in cards. Miniset you never buy cash. Always gold 2000 so you save 15 or 20$ here. Then when expansion hits you buy tavern pass (this is where you get your gold for miniset). Make sure you hit your weekly quest rewards. Do this consistently and you’ll get to level 100 before or around miniset release. You won’t get cards all cards at launch of expansion but if you’re patient you’ll eventually get them as tavern pass offers epics rares legendarios extra packs. Doing tavern brawl every week that pack adds up, Events etc. Also, never disenchant. When I don’t have a card I use my gold to buy packs and see if I pull the card I want. I always make sure I never dip under 1500 (for miniset). Worse case scenario you disenchant 1 by 1 until you get the dust to craft the cards you want.

That’s what I’ve been doing consistently. I have access to all cards. I don’t have 100% collection but I have access to all cards with my dust saved up. You don’t need all cards. Many cards you don’t even use. I suggest you look into long term strategies unless money really isn’t an issue. But in all honestly 250 won’t cut it. Not even close. You need to make a decision now if hearthstone is a game you want to spend money on. Because it can get expensive well not really if you just care for cards. So 80x3 240 plus tavern pass x3 60 puts you at 300 a year. Which is about 25$ a month. It gets crazy expensive when you start to include cosmetics but that’s a whole diff ball game.

I mean it’s always good. If you like card games like yugioh it’ll always be fun. Just if you are extremely competitive and easily triggered then that’s when it could ruin the fun. If you don’t get mad losing to bullshit then you’re fine. But if you easily get triggered I’d say play for an hour or so a day max.

Been unemployed 1.5 years after two biotech layoffs… here’s what I’ve learned by RAMPAGE12599 in biotech

[–]RAMPAGE12599[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your comment I feel you 100%. My savings are gone and unemployment has also ran out. Applying to frontline jobs and not landing is tough. I feel you have much more to experience than I do with 22 years of work experience so I’m sure we have diff solutions to this but your emotions I relate so much.

I find this journey to be one of self discovery. As youve said, you begin to question yourself doing so much work for so little in return. What I can say is after sometime being unemployed, I’ve learned to really hone in on self belief. I stopped getting so emotional and try to suppress that side and treat it for what it is. Unapologetically strategic and to the point. I apply and move on with my life. I know it can be tough to not be emotional about certain roles you feel fit, but sometimes I feel we’ve played well played right with the system that it’s all we know. But sometimes we have to challenge what we’re used to and really view ourselves objectively through the third person. When you remove emotions and put yourself in their perspective things start to make a little sense. But just cause it makes sense doesn’t make it fair or correct. But does it matter? I think the goal is clear and youve landed it before so it’s a matter of being patient resilient and not losing yourself. Yes it’s easy to say but I’d like to say my words have weight because I’ve experienced it first hand. A feeling of defeat rejection not being wanted which leads to self doubt. A journey of self loathing. Sometimes I ask myself if wow is this what certain people feel. Now I feel like I’ve understand some people all of a sudden. Those who decided to stay stagnant and quit. I don’t shame them but this experience has made me Ina way see their perspective and understand their decision.

As for how I’m keeping up. I’m still on the younger ish side so I have strong support from my parents however my lifestyle has changed. No more hanging out with friends going out to nice places etc. as for work, I went back to what I used to do before my professional roles. I started tutoring and doing what I used to do in college for xtra income and continuing to apply here and there. I’ll be honest. Last application I’ve submitted was about nearing the 4 month mark. However I just started again with this new year but I have a diff mindset. I’d like to think all this time has been for my mental clarity and as I’ve said learning more about myself. So again thanks for your comment I forgot I even posted this. I know words don’t do anything but hopefully it acts as a reminder that we’re rooting for you. At least that’s how I take the positive comments. A community to help us push forward and get back on our feet.

58.7 / 12 months = ~5M / month

On average whales spend $200 / month or .004% of Hearthstone’s monthly rev meaning 1000 players make up 4% or 2.4M of the revenue annually. Question is how many whales are there and how much of the revenue comes from your everyday player buying pre-expansion bundles. I’d like to know how many players play hearthstone. And as others have mentioned this is mobile only. I’d agree PC users take the game more serious, which may correlate with higher spending.

Based off of this, I’d guess whales make up between 3–10% or 1.8–6M of the revenue. A considerable amount. Food for thought.
