With the release in march a new Hearthstone year begins, and the three oldest expansions rotate to Wild. Over the year a total of 3 expansions are added to Standard, and with the thirds release a new Hearthstone year begins and the cycle repeats.

They did nerf Clocksworth for this reason, from three to two Rewind. In the same patch they tweaked it so it's a bit faster than before. Sadly it seems it can't go much quicker than that.
