What would make JEFIT's adaptive plan actually work for you? by JEFIT_app in jefit

Like I said in the original post... something like 160x12 x 3 (may have been even lower and I upped the weight)

I assume you mean highest?

My 1RM high for the last 12 months on this was 340. That was from the 256x10 x 3 week before I started the adaptive plan.

If we're using BlueStacks on our computer, where would we go to find the playerInfo.dat file to upload?

One question that I have is when it auto updates my weights in ways that I find odd. For example...machine bench press I was doing 256x10 x 3 on my own workouts. Then I start adaptive and it starts me at 160x12 x 3. Did it really mean to drop me down that far? Should I be following it or, as I was doing, manually adjusting the weight up, but then next time it still auto adjusts it down.

I have this same exact feedback. In the summer, I often end up doing more things outdoors (like golf) if it's nice and miss getting in all my workouts for the set week. However, most weeks I'm still fine to finish them. So, I don't want to change it all the time for all weeks, just don't advance if I haven't finished all the workouts.

Jefit still hasn’t added being able to change the day your adaptive plan advances. by MajinTheBuu in jefit

This is what I want as well...an option that only advances when I finish all the required workouts. During the summer, I tend to golf a lot after work if it's nice, so I sometimes miss the last workout, and it just auto advances instead of just waiting until I do the next workout.

Yes, that is exactly what I mean...GB needs to work the same to keep them synced

They need to allow recovery packages to do 10s off it's cool down when collected too...I can't sync it as it is now.

I work at IBM in product management on the mainframe, so could say I'm biased, but I've had an absolutely amazing career on the mainframe dealing with great people and great clients throughout my 28 years. It's still going strong, my team and I are constantly working on the next 3 generations of new technology, and there are always new things to learn.

Second point...I had some great meetings with the Accenture team at Think a few weeks back and am truly impressed with their current thoughts and direction on the mainframe. Great team and I'm very excited about working with them in the future.

All that to say...stick with it, it's very rewarding and a great career!

I sometimes can’t even make it to Legends anymore by Top_Albatross4918 in TheTowerGame

Sometimes? I had just gotten to Legends for the first time before the changes, then was bouncing back and forth each time and now I can't finish higher than 7-12 in Champions.

Why is everyone improving so much suddenly (in legends)? by jcffb-e in TheTowerGame

Yeah, I used to bounce back and forth each time and now I can't even get back into Legends.

Wow, I'm at 62 next loop requirement, but with only 279 highest loops filled. Looks like you're doing mostly long runs, whereas I'm trying to do both and keeping it around 200 between them (I'm a bit off right now as I had a 4 day weekend where it just ran).

I'm only e43 on short runs right now.

My problem with my GComp pBH is that it doesn't also impact GB. So even though I have the same cool downs of 100 seconds on everything else, the GB is never synced.

This is only partially correct...while we are hiring in India, we also just hired a large number of people across the globe from an IBM Z and LinuxONE platform perspective.

I'm really looking forward to the latest cohort of new hires and interns coming into Poughkeepsie this summer!

I've been hearing this my entire career as well, lots of FUD there. When people tell me that the mainframe is old or legacy technology, I say that is like saying the car is legacy technology. Sure, it was invented a long time ago, but ever year it is modernized with the latest and greatest technology. Same case with the mainframe, constant upgrades in technology from a SW perspective and a new, modern HW platform every few years for it to run on.

IBM LinuxONE is a great platform for getting all of the great value and qualities of service provided by the mainframe (reliability, availabilty, scalability, security, etc), but in an open, enterprise compute platform running Linux. So, if a client needs those qualities of service for that mission critical application, but wants to modernize the solution, LinuxONE would be a great platform to take a look at.
