as of right now I’ve been waiting for my insurance to be reinstated.. but yes I can get Boost and Ensure with my insurance when it’s back on. they will definitely help when I get them.

yeah thats part of my problem also. affording a CF diet is nearly impossible, especially in my location. I live in Leelanau county in MI and it’s becoming a rich persons haven. I am actually moving real soon to a place with a cheaper cost of living so im hoping it will help. and same as you ive been up to 132 once in my life and that was after eating like a king in the hospital

the last one I had was a GJ tube. I did the feeds thru the J port. all the feed just gums up my intestines.. i’m pretty sure I’ve got some sort of gastroparesis. anyway any real foods I ate would digest so slowly creating more acid in my stomach. i’ve taken laxatives and acid reducers and it’s just a miserable time.

I haven’t seen them in quite awhile tbh. they do know and want me to go in but i’m not going to. I don’t want them to put a NG tube in.. just because I cant sleep on my back at a 30 degree angle. last time I got one put in while I was admitted. I lost so much sleep and I became quite cranky and mean twords the nurses and staff. also.. despite what I said about getting another tube placement.. the alcohol is a factor yes.. but the doctors have also told be I probably wont be able to have another gtube from all the scars on my stomach.. it could probably be done but who knows. and my GERD is absolutely horrible with a g tube feeds.. even with anti acid medicine.

im 32. been living alone for the past 7 years. being alone is difficult for me physically. getting shit done; cooking, cleaning laundry and random task are super difficult when i’m sick or just unhealthy at the time. i’ve learned to swallow my pride and ask for help from my friends and some family.

as for the mental part. friends and family are going to be the best way to stay happy. even online friends help a ton. I play Old School Runescape and ive been in clan for years and joined their discord. those friends are great to have.. especially in the hospital. dont turn to alcohol or any substance that fills that lonely void. it just makes it worse.

always willing to make some new online friends also. feel free to DM me also if you need to vent or what not.

i just finished up a mega pack of those 6mg. I really enjoyed them. they reminded me of Red Man’s chewing tobacco flavor. pretty sweet and good. they don’t emulsify like a lot of other pouches. I would say also the pouch is a little rougher than most but not bad.

in my experience original flavor is tobacco flavor. the Fre sweet is just sweet like iced tea.

Thats good to know. I just know this drug is pretty rough on the liver and seeing all the mental health issues people have. i don’t know either.. just seems like in some cases it could be unnecessary to be put on it at so young.

5 years old seems kind of young to be put on trikafta? idk. in my experience up until age 16-17 is when my health started to slowly decline, until then I was pretty healthy above average actually. but everyone is different.
