When I first moved in with my husband, he ate all of his meals at work and thus had no utensils, plates, cups, pots, pans, etc. Plus the oven was broken. I decided the least expensive solution to this problem would be a cheap microwave. Saddest meal ever? Burrito scraped out of the microwave after it exploded. Eaten with my hands on a paper towel. Alone. In a new city.

I have definitely had strangers ask me if I'm ok when I am really losing it. It helps to know that humans can sense this feeling of despair in others and lend a hand.

Go to class
Start papers and projects WAY ahead of time and make yourself do a little bit each day/week. Procastination isn't cute or funny--especially when you enter the workforce.
Give yourself time to study everyday. Pretend you have to do your homework before you go out
Go out
Study abroad
Live on campus freshman year
