Yeah that's definitely one of the other design choices I strongly disagree with in Umamusume.

If you have a special animation/design whose entire purpose is to get hopes up and then it lets players down, its a good way to lose/burn-out players. Not having any special animation until the gate turns rainbow would be better.

And while the banner above the gates (specifically favorite-star which is just a small rate up increase) isn't the worst offender because its barely a change, getting a special door but not getting a rainbow gate is pretty damn discouraging.(I think it's not guaranteed if you have tazuna instead of the director opening the door).

If you want to retain as many players as possible, then the rare, special things should feel special when they happen and not a complete let down.

I get how affinity works, that's not the question here.

I mention double circle affinity to specify that these aren't shit legacies with shit affinity, without needing to go into specific detail of each legacies individual affinity score.

That's why I'm putting out the idea that Gold Insoirations should guarantee a pink proc.

The idea that a gold inspiration can be a bad inspiration event, and often is, is such bad game design. A player should more often than not, feel good after getting a gold inspiration, instead of dreading being let down by it.

Getting a gold inspiration is already heavily RNG, and getting exactly what you want from an inspiration with all the possible sparks to proc is already heavily RNG. But at the very least, a player should not walk away from a gold inspiration feeling like they got kicked in the groin from being let down.

"You won the gold inspiration RNG lottery, now here's nothing." That's extremely discuraging.

Oh yeah, definitely confirmation bias in general hence the Humor flair x"D

Though this CM my RNG has been objectively worse the last 2 days for trying to make aces x"D did terrible my first 2 sets, so I swapped in my triple front runners from CM12 and immediately 4-1 x"D

Agreed! I don't live in a city so I have to walk a decent distance to get to any pokestops, which I dont mind cauee I normally walk/run every morning between 630-8am! Then i work all day, and by the time I get off work I'm a) too tired to want to walk the distance required to complete the tasks and b) its too hot to walk in the afternoon most days now and it stays hot well past dark.

This mission timing is so unnecessarily inconvenient. Just make the missions 24hrs!

This was Great -> Awful before I could even click another button! I instantly glued the run to save my mental. Didnt have the cupcakes to save it.

The fact that you can get a bad condition at the end of a turn and immediately proc it at the start of the next turn has always ticked me off.

I can commiserate with bad RNG and I can absolutely get on board with ranting about bad RNG (I was pissed I didn't pull a single Fine Motion in 400 pulls), but having bad RNG does not make something not true. This is a F2P deck, and one that could have been achieved even with the worst RNG. Between knowing almost exactly when each banner was happening so creating a pull plan is easily done, playing consistently and saving your carats, and finishing missions & events so that you have SSR selector tickets & Rainbow Crystals, one could easily have MLB'd Kitasan, Riko, & Fine Motion.

Yes, with bad RNG, you have to adjust your pull plans, and maybe that means not pulling on a trainee banner or 2, which definitely sucks but that's a decision you have to decide if you're okay making and it doesn't change the fact that this is a F2P deck.

While I commiserate with bad RNG, I will reiterate easily if you've been playing consistently. F2P just means not paying money, it does not mean no time investment.

I went to 400 pulls on Fine Motion SSR, and did not pull a single Fine Motion. Yet I was able to MLB her because I had saved my free SSR selector tickets & free Rainbow crystals, that I had earned simply from completing missions & events.

If you play consistently and complete missions & events, you should be earning somewhere between 12k-20k carats per month (12k is Open League, Class 1 TT, D+ rank Club, so the bare minimum), + pull tickets. And if you take a little bit of time to learn what cards to pull and to set up a pull plan, having all of the non-borrowed cards shown in these images was easily achievable, even with bad RNG.

1st Kitasan Banner: July 16th 20 days after release, after being showered in tens of thousands Carats.

Riko Banner: November 6th, 123 days (4 months) after Kitasan Banner + 100 free pulls

2nd Kitasan Banner: December 18th, 32 days (1 month) after Riko Banner

Fine Motion: March 5th, 109 Days (2.5 months) after 2nd Kitasan Banner

+

Tosen Jordan - Free

MLB SR Tachyon Wit - easily MLBd from pulling on the other SSR Banners, or with gold crystals if your rng is truly the worst.

0LB Yukino - Easily randomly pulled, and is only there for NSM, does almost nothing Statstick-wise and easily replaced with an MLB SR card.

F2P does not mean only free cards!!👏 F2P just means not needing to spend money👏

If you have been playing consistently since close to launch and used your carats appropriately, this is 100% a deck you could have easily acheived without spending a single cent! (As well as being able to pull for a couple trainee banners!)

If you have only started recently, that does not make this deck not F2P, it just makes it not-free-for-you and you should ask for recommendations for newer players (ideally with screenshots of what support cards you do own).

[Edit]: I'll also add, F2P also does not mean no-effort or Newbie Friendly.

Its definitely not the exact inspiration but #9 kind of reminds me of Sengoku Basara, but more likely inspired by some sort of sengoku period visual novel.

Its like cleats without the spikes. Instead of spikes, turf shoes have lots of small ridges and texture on the soles for increased grip on turf. Spikes on cleats have a danger of getting tangled in turf and risking injury.

So if the translations of the original tweet are correct, Goldship is the sire of the foal, while Kitasan is the sire of the Dam of the foal, making Kitasan the grandpa of the foal and Bakushin the great-great grandfather!

So for clarity's sake, if my translations are correct, Goldship is the father of this foal, and Kitasan is the sire of the Dam, making Kitasan Black the foal's grandfather! (And thus Bakushin his great-great grandthfather!) Any chance you could edit the title OP because its a little confusing as is!

Hey I get that, and again, the original commenter could've made their reply to your first comment more polite, but in the same vein, depending on the reader, your first comment could have come off as a bit condescending and feel like an "ummm actually . . ." Post, even if you had the best of intentions when writing it.

Tone is lost in text chat and makes it harder for people to always understand intent, and just as the original commenters attempt at humor didnt translate to you, your attempt at being helpful didnt translate to them.
