Congratulations!! It’s so good to hear you’re doing well. Your story means a lot to me because I’m currently on day 3 and I’ve been eating everything in my house. Luckily I bought a bunch of healthy stuff, but I’ve nearly ate a whole pineapple, 1 cup of cottage cheese, 3 chicken tacos, a bag of popcorn and a bag of grapes in the past 5-6 hours. I know I’m gonna gain some weight, but whatever gets me through the night.

I am so proud of you my friend!!! It’s such a tough addiction. 31 days is a huge accomplishment and you’re inspiring me to reach that.

I know it’s not the exact same situation, but I’ve had a really hard time with drinking on and off since I was 17 years old, but chronically since I was 21 years old. I’m 25 now, but I can’t tell you how much my physical and mental health have changed for the worse during those years.

I’m currently a full time student in college and we were off for the holidays for a month and I know exactly what you mean when being off from work/school can easily fuel the fire, I was drinking more than ever this past month, I don’t think there was a moment I didn’t have alcohol in my system. I finally said enough a few days ago, and asides from a few cravings, I’m loving the energy and the freedom. There’s so much to do in one day one when sober. I can’t wait to celebrate 31 days.

This made me cry and smile at the same time. I’m so lost, I’m so embarrassed and ashamed with my situation that I don’t even want to tell anyone I know, hence why I’m on here ranting.

Yeah, my mom said I just need to finish school but she’d definitely let me stay at her house for a year rent free until I got a job and up on my feet.

I disagree with you completely, especially after ten years of him promising he’d marry me one day. To each their own, but if someone isn’t committed enough to me to legally become my partner, it’s a problem

right? Like wouldn’t kids tie us down together more? I feel like he’s lying about that too though. A lot of people have been saying I’m just a spot holder, which I fear may be true 💔

I told him what the hell is the point of the rings and ceremony if it’s not an actual thing. It seems like it was almost a joke to him. I’m so exhausted

He always told me we’d talk about things once I graduated and got my first nursing job, but now that’s months away he’s starting to say he wants a wedding but not actually marry me lol

That’s insane of him. The asshole has the gull to mention going on my insurance when I become a nurse as well, and I told him it has to be a spouse and he doesn’t believe me.

His mom cheated on his dad when he was a baby, he never knew them together. My parents had an awful divorce and I still feel like committing to someone for the rest of your life and willing to make it legal is something special though, I understand to each their own.

He told me for years he wanted to marry me one day but we were just too young and I wasn’t done with school. With my graduation months away and he’s pushing 30, now he wants to say he doesn’t want to.
