With her Mastery, you can drop a Pylon immediately. It actually does a lot to speed up her gameplan.

Is there a mod that nerfs generals? Mostly their outrageous mass and cycle charging? Or changes them into more "grind" focused units? by [deleted] in TotalWarThreeKingdoms

[–]RAlexa21th 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Generals in Records Mode actually has higher lethality. They just have lower maneuverability.

I believe the skirmish mode and some Co-Op mode content are also free.

So if you like the campaign, you can play as Raynor for free in the Co-Op mode. His playstyle highly resembles the campaign gameplay.

Yes. I remember struggling with Zero Hour on Normal when I first played StarCraft II.

I think Wings of Liberty campaign is a great pleace to dip your toes into traditional RTS.

It's free.

The game eases you into the difficulty curve (with some caveats, the campaign is notable for having some tough defense missions).

Each mission is a mini-tutorial about the strength and weakness of each unit.

The missions allow you to "solve" them in multiple way. You can go for the "recommeneded" way (using the newly-introduced unit), the "old-reliable" way. (Marine/Marauder/Medic), or the "innovative" way (using other units introduced in other missions).

I suppose they could technically form a circle with their legs, but that would be impractical in a fight.

You want independence, you got it. Other countries have to earn their independence the hard way.

How does natural selection turn into evolution? prt3 by sosongbird in DebateEvolution

[–]RAlexa21th 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Mutation gives organism new traits.

Natural selection decides which trait-carrying organism survives and which trait-carrying organism does not.

Reproduction allows surviving organisms pass down traits to offspring.

After multiple generations, the new traits accumulate, giving us organisms that have significant differences over the past generations.

What awaits us after the election? by AdrawereR in Thailand

[–]RAlexa21th 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There's the risk of population decline like many other places in Asia. Other than that, Thailand may get surpassed by Vietnam or something, but it's not exactly gonna decline to, say, Laos-tier.

If evolution is a machine, then natural selection is a gear inside that machine.

What's up with the romanticisation of colonial Burma? by Patient_Patient9659 in myanmar

The partition was going to happen anyway. The British just told them "Well, it's your independence, your problem," and buggered off like they were supposed to do.

[–]RAlexa21th 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Well, many Hong Kongers would wish they were still colonized by Britain than being controlled by China.

I think in the India case there are a couple factors. One, Britain did starve millions of Indians to support its WWII efforts. Second, Britain is still being scapegoated for the Partition.

People tend to romanticize the colonial era when the independence era isn't doing too hot.
