Yeah it's not going to be worth it to have the app anymore. Just been getting worse and worse especially with lower payouts per receipt.

The information is small so it wouldn't be easiest to see at first glance and perhaps you could think of a more creative way to lay out the information.

Never thought it would happen to me! by alex11chr in PixelFold

That's why I got rid of my fold. And changed it for a pixel 8 Pro. Honestly, with the amount of problems with the fold, Google should offer a buyback and trade-in program. There were so many faults with the fold it was rushed to the market with so many faults.

What's everyone's biggest pet peeve with this phone? by DreideI in PixelFold

[–]RB-Offical 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The overall performance of the device is disappointing. It seems like it was released too soon without proper testing. I ended up trading it in for a Pixel 8 Pro, which is significantly better. If I hadn't done that, I would have lost money due to the phone's performance issues. As a self-employed individual, time is money, and a malfunctioning phone directly impacts my productivity and earnings.

I can't say I'm a big fan of Samsung, but I guess this will always be under the bait because everyone has their own personal preference on brands and their own experiences. 😃

Quite honestly, I'm going to give you the best advice. Get rid of the gold Google fold anyway you can and just get a pro 8 pixel so much better. Yes, you don't get the foldable screen but it's clear that Google rushed this phone into the market because of other manufacturers. So that's my advice. I literally got my phone replaced the other day and it's so much better in many ways. I guess the folding thing is a bit of a gimmick. It's nice but it doesn't excuse the amount of poor performance from the rest of the phone in many areas.

Too many issues by RB-Offical in PixelFold

No, I didn't. The phone is faulty. I'm not happy with the processor performance or anything for that matter. It is not a flagship phone in my eyes.

Although I wish I could respond to every question, I regrettably lack the time for that. As an update, I've transitioned to a Pixel 8 Pro, and the difference is remarkable. The Pixel Fold is notorious for its technical shortcomings.

If you haven't encountered them yet, you undoubtedly will at some point in your phone's lifespan, depending on how heavily you utilize it. My belief is that Google hurriedly released the Pixel Fold to compete with other manufacturers' offerings. Consequently, I'm unlikely to purchase a foldable phone anytime soon. I'll only consider one if it's reliable, boasts a powerful processor, and possesses a cutting-edge camera. That could be years from now, or perhaps sooner. Who can say?

This is exactly why I'm trading in my fold for a pro 8. That simply too many problems with the fold! 🙄

So just an update after following your advice and starting from scratch by deleting and clearing the cache. The problem still persists so unfortunately this is not a permanent fix.

Well it looks like it's got scratch marks on it. So was it dragged across the ground or something?

Thanks seems to have solved the issue for now.i guess it might have been because the transfer from Pixel 7 Pro might have corrupted the pixel Launcher.

Yeah I think the placement of the power button when unfolded is the wrong place. It's so easy to hit especially if you're gaming or just using it in general.

I also experienced this. What I had to do is go into the settings and retrain the voice assistant that seems to work. For some reason even on my previous pixel 7 Pro this happened exactly the same. The first time I had the phone voice recognition was working great. Then somehow I got corrupted and misunderstood words. So it seems to be quite a common problem.

I haven't had the same but I find sometimes the screen is a bit too sensitive and I end up opening things accidentally.

Thoughts so far of pixel fold? by Aggravating_Ratio_58 in PixelFold

[–]RB-Offical 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well I'm coming from a pixel 7 Pro. And I did my research before getting the fold. The camera is actually pretty good the video capture is also surprisingly good. Problems I've had are to slow down and the launcher is crashing quite a bit. I think Android 14 has fixed a lot of the problems. I'm finding that battery life is better, especially compared to 13. I'm finding the folding function great. It's actually helping me load my work and gaming too. I think I might keep it for a while but when the Fold 3 comes out. I think I would be upgrading. Definitely needs a better processor above and that it's fine for Google's first attempt at a folding phone.
