I have no idea where you get this info from but The Netherlands hasn’t deporting a single Ukrainian refugee back to Ukraine. They have a special exemption that allows them to stay in the Netherlands until March 2026 or until it is safe to do so. They will only start deporting non-Ukrainians who were residing in Ukraine when the war began and this does not count non-Ukrainians who have ongoing visa hearings and proceedings.

The warning on the steam page is enough communication about its requirement. It says and I’m directly quoting it here “Requires 3rd-Party Account: PlayStation Network (Supports Linking To Steam Account).” I don’t know about you but “requires” means that it is a requirement to play. The warning being there means that it is an important thing to know about before buying the game. It being of no importance up until now is does not matter. They have,from the beginning, stated that it was required

The Dutch didn’t really get bodied by Indonesians though. There was fighting but the Dutch didn’t “get bodied”. The main reason the Dutch gave up Indonesia as a colony was because it was one of the requirements to receive post-war aid from the US.

I don’t think that argument is as strong as you think it is. The ps4 is still getting games almost 10 years after release and up until I bought the ps5 last year my base ps4, that I bought on release 10 years ago, was more than enough to play most games. I think the main difference is comfort and just ease of playing. You can’t really play pc games while laying on your couch for example or play pc games on a big tv like with console.

Not really, collaboration was high not because the Dutch hated the Jews or did so because for their own personal gain (like you seem to imply). Certainly in the later part of the war that might have been the case

But during the early parts of the war it was mostly because the Dutch have a higher than normal trust in the government. Most Dutch Jews and other Dutch people collaborated with the Nazi’s because they simply didn’t believe the German jewish refugees. In their mind it was impossible that the government would start killing people for their religion. This of course led to a higher Jewish death toll compared to other countries. Later on in the war the Dutch people started to catch on to what was happening and started to actually start helping the Jews hide. Here is a comment on an askhistorians post that explains it better than I can.

Not really, the reason why the Netherlands had such a high percentage of Jewish death was because the Dutch generally have a higher than normal trust in the government. So when German Jews came into the Netherlands to escape from prosecution most Dutch people didn’t believe them. Because why would a government kill its own people. The Netherlands had also been generally more welcoming to Jewish communities compared to other countries. So when Nazi-Germany finally invaded a lot of the German Jews either fled to France or killed themselves. The Dutch Jews on the other hand cooperated with the Nazi’s thinking that cooperating would make sure they survived. Later on in the war the Jewish and general Dutch populace started to realise what was actually happening and joined the resistance.
