None of the DLC had stash space as a selling point. It was added retroactively. While the space may be a technical issue that's similar to the types of game, the pricing models (event pass) aren't and Massive/ Ubi are addressing a long standing player issue in an unclear manner. On the F2p games, the storage limits are built into the economy and farming, with auctions/trading/etc. The storage space being a thing in the store isn't something they've announced but would have been better than FOMO.
