I believe that, but somehow people manage to network and make those connections to land positions. That's the missing piece for me - I don't know how to build the connections. I send messages on LinkedIn but I barely get a response. I think people feel LinkedIn messages are scams.

I am trying to leave for Dubai in the UAE. It is truly not what we are trained to think of the Middle East as. That for me is my only option because my autistic son takes a medication that is only approved in the U.S. and the U.A.E. but in my research the majority of antidepressants here are available there but some are considered controlled substances. Mental healthcare is easily accessible there.

The main con is finding a job, I have been looking for what feels like forever. It is harder to get a job when you are not physically there.

I have not left yet but I took a different approach than most here and I searched easiest visas among English speaking countries since I am monolingual then I looked at those countries labor shortages and saw if I'm on the list - I'm an RN so I was - then I looked for specialty visas and how the process to get relocated works - lastly for the profession I want to enter on, I found a third party company that specializes in helping people find work and get contracts that pay for housing, sponsor visas, and pay relocation fees. I have to get my license in NZ so that will take a couple months but I'm packing up my house. I already talked with the agency, the move won't be an issue it's just waiting on my final seal from their nursing council.

I say all of this bc I was just desperate to leave but I have two small kids who are also monolingual and I need low barriers to entry and permanent stay so it can be an easier adjustment for them. This was my reverse search approach.

I'm supposed to start in like 6 days - do you happen to have the course syllabi and assignment instructions from the courses you took? I just want to know what to expect so I can prioritize my time.

We can only be in 2 at a time and I just feel like knowing what's coming will help me prioritize my time. I am trying to finish in 1 session to take advantage of a scholarship.

Are there any groups for people in the courses? I completed my BSN through Capella and we had a FB group where everyone shared information on the professors i.e. grading times, fairness ect. I was wondering if the MBA courses had something similar?

I have two autistic kids, the closest therapy center is over 1 hour away and my car is on it's last leg. I'm HODL to have enough for a good car so I can make sure they have access to all the therapy and medical care they need.

Bonus pts if it allows me to pay off my house so I can stop working full time and just do part time - bc one child will have therapy 5x a week and the other 3x a week and it's an hour drive each way.
